We still haven't received the packet. I know you can use the guidelines on Embassy website. What about the invitational letter?? How do we get copies of that and/or is it needed??

Also, a womans "time of month," does it matter for medical exam?

Check with the post office about packet, because mine was in there for one month while i had no idea it was waiting for me.

Otherwise you can get your case number on Your USCIS approval and see the date of the interview.about invitation letter it is important but not something to panic over.they have list of people that should attend the interview anyway and before getting in they check the names.

YOu stuill can call their hot line and pay 12 usd to find out if they can send you invitation again.

Medical test is no problem i think.I posted before my experience about medical in IOM,I also put there contact details so she can call and ask if it is ok.But anyway you will have 2 months to do the test why do it at the time when you have a period? It takes 1 day and same day she gets results.

But still they do only blood test from vain and x-ray.so i think she should be fine:)But one thing she will need to know her case number for the medical exam it starts with MOS...

Good luck!

Kotenochek,

You do realize that many women travel thousands of miles by air to go the medical and the interview. I suspect that, for most, it is not practical to make two trips. So, the medical is often inevitably a couple days before the interview -- so this is the sort of thing she might wonder about.

I did not think of that You are right. But again i put number where she can call and make sure, but dont think it is a problem since they just do blood test!Blood test and x-ray!And they never ask You if You have periods right now:)So no problem. Moreover blood is checked For HIV ,They dont care of your haemoglobin or any details like that:)So dont worry:)

Ask her to check with the post office. I bet its lying at the post office.

In our case, she got a small cramped soiled slip in the mail box saying "..second notice to pick the mail from post office.." but she never got the first notice from the post office :)

I had same thing my mail was waiting for me 1,5 months i had no idea!!!

the last day before they sent it back to the embassy my mum went to pay bills and they offered her for 200rubles to get back my mail.they made me pay because i did not pick it up in time, but if they knew how much i stressed without that packet. They were suppose to send that slip...so tell her to call the post office at least once a week.
