I-130 filing

Hello I'm a us citizen living in india. my husband is tibetan with indian papers so we are doing the DCF in New Delhi. i'm filling out the I-130 form and am confused about the alien registration number. We haven't officially started any paperwork so does that mean we don't have one yet and to write n/a?

Also on the second page in the top right corner there is something about a file type... what is this?

if anyone has any advice for this 'journey' we're about to embark on please lay it on me!!!

You're right in thinking that you don't have an alien number yet if you haven't been through any immigration process yet, so yes, write N/A.

I'm sorry I don't know what you mean by file type on the top right corner of the second page of the I-130. I do not see anything there on the current form.
