We received both package 3 and 4 in the mail here in Kosovo, where we are both staying for the next month and a half. Our interview date is for 9-11, but it's weird that the embassy would be conducting buisness on that day, I hope it wasn't a screw up and we show up and they're closed for holiday.

I think it's very important for an American fiance who hasn't visited the family of their fiance to do so, esspecially if your fiance doesn't speak English. It will be an eye-opening experience, as my fiance doesn't speak much english, I don't speak much of his language, we speak in a third language together. It will be an odd experience for you, but it will help you understand how isolating it can be for you fiance when they come. This has been great for me to understand how I need to include him in conversations, even if he can't understand.

I am so excited about our interview date, we have almost everything in order, just waiting on the police report for the United Nations and his Medical! Other than that, we have everything, including a ride lined up to Macedonia.

Good Luck to any other April Filers who are still waiting Packet 3 and 4!

Liz

yayyyyyyy congratulations!!!!

i hope my process goes as quickly as yours!!!!! if thats the case, then my shpirt will be here for christmas =)

looks like you got your wish, and the interview before you go home...best wishes to you, i cant wait to hear about it when youre approved!!

and i know that whole 'being isolated' feeling from staying with gaz and his three cousins for extended periods of time...even though two of them speak italian, they never speak to eachother in italian, so it gets very frustrating when they are all laughing at dinner and what not...oy vey it'll be even more so when i visit his family in albania for the interview...i cant wait though!!!

GOOD LUCK and fill in your timeline!!!!!!

I had no idea you could receive package 3 and 4 at the same time... I thought after you sent package 3 completed back to the embassy they'd send you package 4. I learned something new today :)

Good luck on the interview

it depends on the consulate...some do it one way, some do it another way...there are pros and cons to both methods i suppose
