Congrats! :dance::thumbs:

Congrats to everyone who has had activity in the last week. :thumbs:

I was in Peru from last Thursday until today. I got back this morning to KC...with Erika at my side! :yes: I went down to Lima to be with her for the interview on Friday. I had heard it takes about two days to get the visa in Lima after the interview, so I went ahead and made travel plans for Tuesday night...a little risky, I know. I was a little worried that it wouldn't arrive by Tuesday morning but it did! After a few emotional days of good-byes with her family and friends, we traveled to the US together, sitting side-by-side on both flights.

It sounds like all of us March filers who were so frustrated for so long are finally getting our spouses here. :dance:

congrats. wish you all the best for your journey from here on.

myself am still nervous.. cause our interview is on the 6th.

Don't worry about the interview. As long as you have your paperwork in order, everything will be just fine.

Will you be with your spouse during the interview? I was with Erika and I don't think they even thought about asking for evidence. If you can be with your spouse for the interview, that goes a long way in terms of "evidence" of a valid relationship.

If you can't both be there, just make sure you bring pictures, emails, messenger conversation scripts, etc. I was so relaxed at the embassy just because of all the information I was able to get from visajourney. All the Peru embassy reviews made the whole process sound so easy and described in detail what was needed to make the interview go smoothly.

If I had to rely on my attorney for preparation information, I would have been a nervous wreck. But all of our fellow visajourneyers who are a few steps ahead of us that have offered their experiences made everything so stress-free. I tried to calm Erika down as much as I could but she was sitting there nervous the whole time we were waiting in the embassy. I don't think she understood how I could doze off in the waiting room before the interview :lol:

Oleksandra's interview at the Kyiv embassy was incredibly easy. They didn't ask her any questions at all and were only concerned with the paperwork. I sort of went the overkill route and just gave them everything they asked for on evidence..we had about 500 pages I think! hahaha Over the last year we had over 3,000 emails and also 2-4 hours of Skype phone calls. I had 3 trips documented with all the ticket stubs etc. (including family members that went also), affidavits, etc. etc. I probably gave poor Oleksandra a hernia trying to carry it all but she was well-prepared! :jest:

It is definitely a good idea to go the "better too much than not enough" route, which we did. I looked at my message and thought it maybe sounded like I was trying to say not to bring evidence if you will be there with your spouse...definitely not the case! Bring it all!

That's a great attitude, neel. Just make sure you read, re-read, and re-re-read the requirements for the interview for your embassy and go through your paperwork about 10 times before the interview to make sure everything is exactly the way they want it. And make sure to read through all of your recent embassy's reviews here on visajourney. If you spend a lot of time now doing your "homework" and making sure everything is in perfect order you should be able to relax on the day of the interview and wait for a call from your spouse saying the visa has been approved.

Yes, at POE had not problems. We enter through Chicago and they asked me only how long I am married. The only problem there was a big queue and we have to wait long for our turn.

Jas S sorry to hear about your problems. It is not fair :angry::angry::angry: Hope that everything will be o.k. :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:
