JAS I PRAY THAT BOTH OUR SPOUSES GET THE NOVEMBER INTERVIEWS AT NEW DELHI.

Neel my wife is due Jan 8th and she really can't fly past November. So I am waiting for the papers to get to the embassy and then I plan on going there and seeing if they can expedite her interview based on her pregnancy so that she can fly by mid November. I don't know...hopefully something will work out. Otherwise she will have to have the baby in India and probably fly in February with the baby. :(

i hope you can expedite your case. your wife needs to be with you. however, since the october interviews are out and ur case isn't even at new delhi.... i don't know how they can do this. HOPEFULLY, THEY WILL GIVE YOU AN INTERVIEW FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER AND SHE CAN JUST COME HERE SOON AFTER. it must be so hard for your wife to be pregnant and away from you. this is the most vulnerable time for a woman. anyway, i just wanna wish you good luck.

Hey everyone. Erika received packet 3 & 4 today. Our interview is scheduled for October 26th in Lima. To say the least, we're ecstatic! It's been a very long journey, but we will be together in 23 days.

Some advice for anybody interested...the journey was extremely frustrating for us until we got the USCIS approvals about 1-1/2 months ago. After that, we accepted the fact that USCIS is extremely backed up and knew that we would be waiting for a while for the interview. We planned for the worst and hoped for the best. We managed to block out our time apart and make the most of the the situation. We have talked quite a bit every day, but at the same time we have both managed to do things to keep our minds occupied. I have worked extra hours so that we can take some fun road trips when she gets here and I have hit the gym and dropped a few pounds and added some muscle B) Erika has taken driver's lessons, spent more time with her family, and taken an arts and crafts class. I know many of you are depressed and can't stand the wait...trust me, I was really frustrated for a while too. But no good can come from being that way. Being angry and depressed is only self-destructive. Everyone should be happy :D We have all found our soulmates. There are not a lot of people in the US who can say that!!! Make the most of your time apart and the time will absolutely fly by...I promise. Each day that passes is a victory. I guarantee that everyone in a valid relationship will be with their spouse. USCIS can not and will not prevent that from happening. Enjoy life while you're apart from your spouse and you'll enjoy it even more when you're together. Your interview date is coming too!!!!!!!!!!

Great advice !! I've been searching for a house I can afford to buy or rent ( in Las Vegas :crying: :crying: ),been running and exercising every day, working as much overtime as I can ,preparing for my stepdaughter's college education, going to yard and garage sales to find good deals, sending photo's,letters ,and all the information I can on the interview process every week via DHL. Jing's been busy with those long trips into Manila getting her passport, clearances, etc.and also looking hard in the neighborhood for a piece of land we can buy before she immigrates ! Whew   .

Stay busy, it's great therapy right now !

Not quite Jas. I130s usually take 4-6 months at NVC. Now that the AOS fee was paid, they will generate the affidavit of support (I-864) and send it to your lawyer. Once you visa fee bill is received and entered, the DS-230 package will be generated and sent. These must be filled and returned. Once these are entered into the system, case is complete and forwarded to NVC. Their receiving, entering, generating, sending takes some time. Now that its approved, your K3 will go through much quicker to the embassy and interview will happen much before CR1 stuff goes through.

Congrats and good luck

Not quite Jas. I130s usually take 4-6 months at NVC. Now that the AOS fee was paid, they will generate the affidavit of support (I-864) and send it to your lawyer. Once you visa fee bill is received and entered, the DS-230 package will be generated and sent. These must be filled and returned. Once these are entered into the system, case is complete and forwarded to NVC. Their receiving, entering, generating, sending takes some time. Now that its approved, your K3 will go through much quicker to the embassy and interview will happen much before CR1 stuff goes through.

Congrats and good luck

Our case is forwarded to the embassy. I hope that everything will be o.k.

Best of luck Jas. I hope everything works out for the two of you.

Jas i was curious what stage is your I-130 at. will you be pursuing the K-3 or has your I-130 reached far ahead.

Well, on Sept 3rd NVC sent a mail to my lawyer asking him for Green Card Fee and Affidavit of Support documentation. He received it on the Sept 25th! #######! and he sent it out right away. Now I am waiting to see what happens next...hopefully it goes to the embassy after NVC gets all this.

Hmm ok Thanks. Well atleast my I129F is approved. Hopefully by some miracle that gets here in the month of Oct. and I can go to the embassy and see if I can request for an early interview based on her pregnancy. That is the only chance I have...otherwise I will have to return to states (I am in India with her right now till end of Oct) for now and then return back again in December to be with my wife for her delivery.
