Good DAY to everyone on this forum,

I'm new to your website and so far I LOVE IT! I have learned a lot. Thank you. My situation is as follows. I just got marry on AUG 10th. I getting ready to sent off the I-130 but I came across the G-325 for my husbands 5 year address history. He came to the U.S on a tourist VISA in 1997 and overstayed until June 2007.

He illegaly lived in the US for about 10 years, do I put his US address on the G-325?????.

He recently left the US to try to get his tourist VISA in MEXICO but got denied. When he apply for his VISA in MEXICO he lie and said that he came to the US in May 1997 and left a month later June 1997. Is this going to affect us?

Another question is I met here in the US and in the I 129F I have to write a page of how I met him. Do I say I met him in the US I don't really want to lie. But if I do that how bad is that going to affect his immigration status.

I don't know what to do??? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all for all your time and assistance, :help:

Too complicated. Illegal overstaying is a ground for petition complete denial. I say, you need an immigration attorney.

Um, I think the first mistake was in 1997 when he overstayed his visa.

I would explore your options with a competent immigration attorney before taking any action. I suspect you'll end up deciding the best option for being reunited with your husband will not include him coming to the USA to join you.

Yep,

overstaying + leaving the US = an entry ban, 10 years in this case.

May be a lawyer can come up with something though...

June'07 NOA2 per USCIS website!

To all,

Thanks for all the replies. I have tried to go with different lawyers but they just talk about money and most of them don't know what to do. One of the lawyers told about the 10 year ban. The first time I heard about it broke my heart. A lawyer I'm not really familiar who to go to, any names???. I'm from San Diego, California. The only reason he lie is because he wanted his VISA to come back to the States. And he left we weren't really ready to get married until he left. When he was gone that's when we both found out we were deeply in love for each other. And now we are suffering without each other.

Thanks for all your help,

Solita

There is a member here, Kitkat1,

she likes a lawyer named Laurel Scott (check Kitkat1's posts for more info).

I never used an immigration lawyer, so I can not offer any insight.
