My husband and I are going to Canada for Easter. We drive up next Thursday. Yay! :D Fresh Timmy Ho's! :D I've also decided that I need to stock up on Laura Secord chocolate. I'm hoping that if I go on Saturday they'll still have some of their secord easter eggs, even though it'll be the day before Easter.

I'm also going to buy some lovely Canadian wine and beer. :D Between hubby and I we'll bring back the limit we can bring without duty...unless we decide to just buy more wine and pay the duty. Am quite excited. :D

Anyone else heading to the Great White North for Easter?

Also, if I don't have my actual plastic green card by then, do you think the CBP guys'll give me a hard time? I'll have my passport with the temporary one, obviously.

Hey now! There's plenty of Cadbury in Canada! :P I used eat the flake bars all the time. Same with the fruit and nut bars. MMMMM. Now in the States Cadbury is hard to find...when you do, it's usually in the "international" foods section.

we're leaving next Thursday for Easter for Toronto

my daughter has a lot of shopping to do as there's no way she should be limited to the same stores as her friends here

I'm not sure I'm looking forward to all that traffic and congestion...so easy to get used to these lonely farm roads

There are some stores in the United States that sell genuine Kinder Eggs, often in conjunction with other imported British or other European sweets, though importing them is technically illegal due to the FDA ban. :o

That sucks!!! No Kinder Eggs in the US?! Damn. I used to get those all the time in Canada! I loved the cheap-####### little toys too. Used to put them together in class when I was in high school.
