I'm not sure about the expired greencard but she can fly back home with the expired passport with no problems. I did it back in December when I flew to Colombia. She will have to get a new one before coming back though.

She will need to get a new passport and once she has that then you can ask USCIS at your local office for a Temp I-551 stamp or letter of extension....

Hope her father improves..

INFO PASS should help. I had once an Emergency and did not have a Parole to travel, they right away issued a Parole to travel back to the country. I had a letter from the Dr that my mother needed my visit urgently. I did have a passport still valide though. But I think they can issue either a NOA or a parole to come back. Good luck and sorry about your situation. Chanchan
