Hi all....

My boyfriend and I have been thinking of going into the K1 route after we have decided that the wedding would take place in the US. However, we are both unfamiliar with the steps of the K1 Application and we do not wish to make any mistakes in the process, hence, we thought of purchasing the K1 Visa Application Kit online to help us while reading the threads on VJ. So, the question is, if anyone knows of any good site to purchase the kit (safe and up-to-date) I have seen a lot when I googled it but I am not sure if they are any good or if there are bogus. Is there one that is better than the other? Thanks a lot for your time and any reply is appreciated. Have a nice day all.

Cheers! :)

Yeah I would not waste my money purchasing anything.

We all used VJ and indeed it is very helpful.

If you follow these guides step for step you will be fine (thats how I did it by the way and many many others too)

i bought something that cost about 30 bucks...at the time i didnt know how reliable visajourney was (thought it might be just another website), and i wanted something to compare with the info that i found on here...most of it was consistent, but i liked having two examples of everything if something was unclear...i cannot think of the company right now, but you can message me if you really want to know...its not necessary, by any means, but i liked having it as an extra aid

Don't waste your money! Seriously, it is NOT that difficult. :) The forms are self-explanatory. Download the latest (one) I-129F and (two, one for each of you) G-325A and fill out each and every line. If a question is not applicable to your situation, write, "N/A" or "none".

The tricky part is submitting all the proper evidence to prove your meeting and relationship. That is where most folks trip up and end up with a RFE. That evidence can only come from you and will not come in any purchased package. e.g., travel tickets, passport entry / exit stamps, travel (or business) visas, and photos of you two together to name a few.

Use the guides found right here on VJ. If you run into an unexpected situation post to this forum. There are plenty of us out here to help.

Agreed, just to a search for all of Jim's postings and I think you will have a complete "kit" as I am quite sure there simply is no question big or small remaing that Jim did not already ask...

YMMV

First of all.... Thank you so much for all the replies to my question and my boyfriend and I have decided not to purchase the kit. You all were right, it is complete waste of money

Secondly, thanks in advance for all the help offers and we really appreciate that... Right now, we're just going to read up all the threads that are relevant to our situation (especially, Jim's hehe) so we could start on the process as soon as possible. We just want to make sure that we are doing the right thing and we don't want to be separated any longer than what's necessary for the whole K1 journey.

Once again, thanks a lot and I wish you all have a great day ahead!

Cheers.

P/S: I have the feeling I am going to start posting my list of questions reaaaal soon... yikes!
