thank you for the helpful and quick response.

Anyone yet able to give a conclusive answer on the additional names question ??

I think the conclusive answer requires the knowledge of how her name appears on her passport.

I think you have two choices and it will depend on which proof is US citizenship you are using. If passport then you do exactly as was suggested above... if birth certificate then exactly as it is written on her birth certificate... if you have too many names, you can always write "see attached sheet" in the box on the form and list them on seperate sheet.

Yea ok...

Sorry I wasnt clear.

I meant to ask about myself.

Its not an official passport name

But it is what we call my 'calling name'

So everyone knows me as Mark.

So Im still not sure what to do with that.

At the letter of intend,

Do I leave a big 'Fiance Letter of Intent' at the top as the preview shows ??

Do I have to specify who is the applicant and who is the beneficiary ?

I never took 'other names used' to mean ones that folks commonly call you in everyday life, but rather, what name(s) you've used legally.

For example, I had been previously married, so aside from my maiden name, I listed my previous married name because I DID legally use that at one time (on my driver's license, passport, Social Security card, etc).

I would agree and just have your fiance explain in the letter of intent that your she, your family and friends call you "Mark". Otherwise your legal full name as shown on your Passport and Birth record should be used.

We were married so had no letter of intent. Since I've always been called by and used my middle name, I put under other names used, my first initial, middle name and family name.

interesting.

One thing that bugs me is that the example form for the g325a shows the beneficiary's name in the heavy bordered box at the bottom. But isnt that the box for the Applicant ? and isnt that the US Citizen ??

And then why would she have an alien registration number ??:o:huh::blink::wacko::wacko:

The applicant, in this context is the same as the name at the top of the form.

Otherwise, the USC, at this stage, is the petitioner. You are the beneficiary but after the petition is approved you are the visa "applicant".

The USC petitions. They do not apply. You apply for a visa.

Firstly, it is a multi-purpose form but please note that you can be a naturalized USC and therefore will have a "A" number.

I knew this thread would be so helpful to fill the gaps.

I thought I figured it all out pretty well... but I still want to double, triple check things, just to be safe.

Thank you all so so so much, for devoting your valuable time to people like me.

Its one of the reasons Im going for the K1 way in the first place; out of respect towards helpful people that did it the legal way. I cant deny the tourist marriage way didnt cross my mind, but it just didnt feel right in my heart.

Anyone have any good ideas on how to specify my occupation when :

- I was working in a butchershop inside a supermarket, the last half of the time as a student ??

- I was selfemployed in computers, etc.

Just state the jobs as they were. Whatever your title was in the shop, and that it was part time employment (put 'part time butcher's assistant' if that is an accurate term).

My husband was self employed; we simply listed it as 'self employed' with his home address (in the name and address of employer field) and his occupation (mini cab driver) in that field.

OK.

Her passport name is Amy Robin Faith Elisabeth Bakke

...

We dont have the sponsorship thing figured out yet.

Her parents probably/might show enough on their january taxes.

Her sister wants to but is as unable as it gets

And other then that we would have to go ask and beg the 2 others that might be able.

any suggestions ?

What are the risks realistically? And by realistically I mean : im not gonna commit a crime. Im a very nice friendly person.

Im more then willing to work. My fiancee makes enough money to support the 2 of us anyway, etc.

Also : what are alternatives ?

What happens if we dont meet the requirements for showing that income for the 3 years they require but only as a current thing ?

Or if we have enough income, and a sponsor, but the sponsor almost meets the requirements ??

I know its a lot of questions, but im afraid to go ahead and file the I129F package if we cant be sure we can do the whole thing ....
