If you are in the NYC area, Myers of Keswick in the West Village is a good place for British food, Heinz beans, kipling cakes etc!!!

Yes indeed! I was just there this morning - bought some Walkers crisps, Penguins and mango chutney.

If you live in NJ, Shoprite stores have a British section in the International Foods aisle... well at least the Paramus one does!

I also found stuff like Colmans mustard at Whole Foods Market.

Anyone seen any Cadbury's Creme Eggs for sale in the DC area?

Dont know about Creme Eggs in the DC area Isma - they are selling them in CVS in the Jersey area but I think they may be Hershey's Cadburys not UK Cadburys. Have you tried the British Goodies store in Arlington? I heard there is one there somewhere, hope this helps :)

Oh, I can totally help out with the locating of Brit food in the Arlington/northern VA area:

1) Harris Teeter - the new one by Potomac Yards has some brit food...jelly babies, canned cadburys chocolate pudding, custard, pickle, etc.

2) Giant stores tend to have an international section...the last time I went they had: Ribenna, Lucozade (both totally expensive, but worth it for a treat if you like that sort of thing), marmite, mushy peas (the dry packet and the canned), pickle, custard, chocolate fingers, jammie dodgers, lion bars, toffee crisps, aeros, kit kat chunkys...umm...and a bunch of other stuff too (I think they might have had pyramid tea bags. Oh! THey had real baked beans too (though I'm getting used to the Heinz Vegetarian ones they have over here).

3) World Market - that's in the Pentagon City mall...they have tonnes of brit sweets, tea, biscuits, sauces, even the packets of shepards pie mix (actually, the giant had that too).

Of the three I think the Giant and the World Market are likely the best bet. And if you need a mini egg fix, the CVS and Rite Aid's will have those soon (if they don't already)

The cadburys cream eggs here are made in England for Hersheys by Cadburys. You can tell when after eating Hersheys when you put one in your mouth you get that unique Cadburys taste.

I have been living on creme eggs recently, its been years since I had them. I havent seen the here before, maybe I just havent been paying attention.

In NYC Myers of Keswick is expensive. Tea and Sympathy/More Tea and Sympathy and A Salt and Battery are great (all next door to each other and owned by the same people) are also not far from Myers. They are on Greenwich Avenue at 12th street.

Whole Foods and Garden of Eden have good international isles with british food but so do most supermarkets. I get my Cadbury and Hobnobs, ribena, custard creams etc from my local C-Town or Key Food.

I just tried some Hershey's Cadbury Creme Eggs from the store on the local American base near me, they had some on tasting. Not a patch on real ones. Not sure why they weren't selling the real deal as they were selling proper mini eggs.

We have quite a few shops around here (SW Orlando), ostensibly for the visiting tourists (but we never complain). Between the International Food Market (a whole side room with nothing but British goods), our supermarket with a seven-foot section in the international aisle, and several small specialty shops, we're set!

Darren has me addicted to Aero bars (both regular and mint)...evil man...

We're pretty set, too. A couple of Brit-shops a short distance away, and every Publix around here has a fairly decent selection.

*waves a big hello! at Leney* Long time no see! :)

My husband tells me that there is a British food shop down near where he's gigging in Ventura, and he's going to pop in one of these days to have a mooch through the aisles.

We're headed to Lancaster, PA this weekend for a possible Irn Bru siting lol A store called Britian's Best. Lancaster isn't so far from the MD border. There are a few Trader Joe's stores in MD:

http://www.traderjoes.com/Attachments/EC_loc.pdf (it'll take a while to load it's a pdf file, but it has all the locations)

I hope this helps!

And a big hug to you ECM! I know it's been a looong while, but we haven't had a lot of time to log onto the forums. Our wee(est) guy just turned 1 year old this past week! He's running around like a mad man keeping me busy lol

***BUMP***

Just in the last few weeks, a "British section" has appeared in a number of metro Atlanta Publix stores that I've been to. State Bridge Rd, Alpharetta; Keith Bridge Rd, Cumming; and another that I can't remember which right now. Basically most of the bigger stores in this area have a nice range of British stuff, reasonably priced too (well, a bit cheaper than normal). Good variety of chocolates, biscuits (McVitties caramel digestives, Hobnobs, etc) some tinned stuff and the likes. Oh, and PG Tips :)
