Thanks! Do you go to the meetings or just do it online? I'm just an online member but I love how it helps me track what I eat each day and keeps tabs on how my weight is coming along. :)

Haven't done WW in years, but I have been doing www.kimkins.com, it is low fat and low carb, and it has been working for me. I have been doing it since June 3rd, and I have lost 45lbs. The site was $60 to join for a lifetime membership, but so far it has been well worth it. WW is a great balanced program, I just never have enough time to get to meetings. Best of luck to you Doodle with the weight loss. It has always been an issue with me, and I know how hard it can be. Let me know if you would like a diet buddy to check in with. This sure helps me alot. Knowing someone else holds me accountable makes me think twice about what I put into my mouth.

Interesting. Kimkins looks like a woman only program but their is a lone guy in the testimonials. Is it for men and women?

I did weight watchers a few years ago and lost quite a bit of weight...around 45 pounds. I was one of those people that had to go to the meetings though...stupid me had to pay to have somebody weigh me and then I would always want to lose weight and not gain to not be embarassed. There is a lot of WW information on a site if I can remember correctly is Dotties Weight Loss Zone. She was a WW and has all kinds of information on there such as restaurants that aren't in the restaurant guide and the points. I didn't do the carb but regular points.

Right now I have gestational diabetes and I found out that a lot of the information from WW regarding portion control and such relate to how I have to eat now. So I am hoping with the pregnancy to keep my weight under control. If you have any questions message me and I can try and help you out. I just remember drink drink drink your water and always journal!! Good luck with it and stick with it even if you have a bad day because it does pay off! That's what I like you mess up, you have tomorrow!

Weight watchers worked out really well. I did the I think it was core diet, where you could eat anything on the list and not really count points as long as you only ate until satisified. I lost like 12 lbs the first month I did it, but then... I kind of stopped going and have gained about 5 lbs of it back. haha. But yeah, if you go... and follow the guildlines, it works out really well.

I love dottie's site!!!! It's www.dwlz.com for those not familiar and she has the points value for just about every restaurant out there as well as tons of other info. She also has a message board that has really good recipes.

So I weighed in this morning.

 Good thing I didn't wait till next week!!!!!!!

Oh well, a new beginning. I'd like to lose 20 before my husband gets here as a little suprise. Stocked up yesterday on my old staples:

WW frozen meals (they were 5 for $10 at my store this week) for lunches

Orville smart pop snack size - 0 pts

Quaker Chewy granola bars - 2 pts

English cucumbers - 0 pts

celery - 0 pts

crystal lite - 0 pts

Yoplait lite ff yogurts - 2pts

Also made a HUGE fruit salad with watermelon, cantelope and honeydew melon.

Made a deal with a friend to walk at lunch so that will give me some exercise points.

Good luck to all those trying out there!

Not really. If I eat one single serving size bag of the smart pop I don't count the points but if I have two I put down 1 point just 'cause I know it's not 0. For cucumbers and celery though I don't count anything at all.

I don't like WW's math then. For me 0 +0 will always be 0, never 1.

Ok I am a slim girl and still don't join WW. But I am very sure that after being in US now for a half year I really need to take care of my continuing eating of the great food they have over here LOL.

I am starting to getting afraid that I would have a problem later. Just bought a scale and in chok
