If you want an accurate answer, you will have no choice but to give ALL of the facts. I understand that you don't want to share private/personal business but at the same time, how then can you expect an honest, accurate answer?

amesina40...

Know one is asking you to give every little detail about your life... you came to VJ and told us that your fiance has been married before but did not know about the marriage... and then she happily gets a divorce for the husband she does not know and is going to marry you.... you then asked us if we thought this was going to cause you any problems...

People are trying to help you but they have questions about the marriage... if you do not wish to post that info then why ask the question in the first place.... I fear you will have many problems getting a K1... this is going to raise very big red flags when she goes for her interview.... the fact that she claims to have no knowledge of the marriage but went on to get a divorce is the part that most interviewers are going to have issues with....

I wish you the best of luck.... I do fear you are going to need it.

Yes you are right on. I came here to ask a question, gave the necessary details, got the necessary advice which was to go see a lawyer. I went to go talk to a few lawyers and some people who do work in the embassy. They assured me we won't have a problem and to just be honest w/ the situation. I already said early on the situation was all good and gravy, but so many questions were still being asked when the situation was already handled. Like i said i'd rather not post publicly all the private details of this situation. I'm sure that is understandable. Again i appreciate everyone's advice and honesty, and LonaD i apologize if u were offended by my comments. God bless and good luck to you all...

Why not post publicly all the private details to receive an honest answer? None of us know you - you are an anonymous person so what is the big hooha?

hey, I saw your Myspace page! I also saw that you are familiar with the west memphis three. Have you read the latest news? Some pretty interesting stuff. I first heard about the case back in the day when paradise lost came on HBO. i ended up getting "The Devil's Knot" - I love that book!

i will always be the first person in line to jump on the "that persons a liar train". And yet I feel not ashamed. I found in my life I am very intuitive and have NEVER been wrong about a person. But amesina40 I am sorry for calling your fiance' a liar without knowing her or any disregard for your feelings. cause I would feel HIGHLY afronted if someone called my fiance' a liar and didn't know them. But the way you put out your facts eventhough you had stated that you didn't put ALL the fact for privacy reason. the way your portrayed your story was you didn't know why the aunt did what she did. Your fiance' didn't know why the aunt did what she did. And for all you guys cared her divorce was finalized and yay your hands are washed clean of the problem. So I sift through these morsals of details that you give. EACH more crazy and far fetched. I come to this conclusion of doing my own research on the web about how this could have happened. And still I personally (and I am no lawyer obviously) I can't see how it works. I just don't. I know stranger things have happened like finding out that my grandpa whom was a miner got caught in a cave in and they found that the cave in was not what killed him.. but in fact his peg leg had gone through his heart. I know I know where is his parrot right? But that is a strange story. But also a very true story. All I am saying is I am sorry for being mean cause I was pretty mean. But I have no filter. Ecspecially when it comes to stories that are TOO strange to be true. It just seemed to me like you situation was a a badly written story with lots and lots and LOTS of plot holes. Just because of your lack of knowledge of what was going on with your fiance'. I am just ####### and arrogant. yes I typed ####### and I do feel gross for it. I didn't mean to offend you and I am about to go into lands of backhanded apologies when I write. I am sorry for saying your fiance' was a liar and hurting your feelings... however despite the details missing and your talk with lawyers. I believe it about as much as I believe in goblins. Wait.. wait.. I do believe in goblins so .. as much as I believe in Unicorns... I love unicorns though :(

No really I am sorry I am just being an a-hole. I have a poor sense of humor

I'm not tryng to bash your fiancee in anyway - but are you 100% certain that she was not aware of the marriage and aware that she had a husband? You'd know this better than anyone here.

If she was aware she was married and this story is some sort of cover up (which will be told to immigration officials who are bound to be suspicious of it, just as we in this forum are) - then it could be very bad for your immigration process if she is determined to be lying.

If you are satisfied this situation was been resolved, I wish you the best during the process. I went thru the Embassy in Manila and am aware of the high fraud factor. I hope you are well prepared for any possible scenario.

again, best of luck.

That whole investigation went wrong! There is NO way that that crime scene should have been handled the way it was.

The person who looked guilty to me was that one boy's stepdad - I can't remember his name but you know, the one with the missing teeth? I found it strange that his story about his missing teeth kept changing.

Anyhow, have you red this?:

New evidence in West Memphis murders

Victim's mother believes defendants innocent.

Mara Leveritt

Updated: 7/19/2007

"PARENTS: Of murder victim Stevie Branch

Reviving an investigation that ended 14 years ago, West Memphis police recently questioned the mother and stepfather of Stevie Branch, one of three 8-year-old boys murdered in 1993. Three teenagers were convicted of the killings.

In a telephone interview on Monday, Stevie's stepfather, Terry Hobbs, confirmed that West Memphis police had videotaped an interview with him within the last three weeks. Pam Hobbs, Stevie's mother, also said she had been interviewed by police. The Hobbses are now divorced.

Terry Hobbs, who lives in Bartlett, Tenn., said police requested the interview with him as a result of recent DNA tests on items found with the bodies. Prior to the police interview, he said, he had been informed of the test results by Ron Lax, a Memphis private investigator.

Terry Hobbs said, "Ron claims that a piece of my hair is in the knots that tied up [victim] Michael Moore."

"Does that bother me?" Hobbs continued. "No, ma'am, it does not. Why? Because I don't believe a thing he has to say because he's working for the defense team. And because if my DNA was at the crime scene, I think [Prosecuting Attorney] Brent Davis would be the one to call me about that, and not Ron Lax."
