You can file without the ROE and send later it if required. Also some ROE'S are sent to EI electronically. Those beginnig with certain letters are sent along by the employer to EI and already on your file. My ROE # started with a W and I didn't have to send it to em they already had it in my file

The law may be that your employer is required to issue you a ROE within 5 days of your leaving, but I would suggest, especially if you're waiting for your last paycheck (with calculated vacation pay or whatever), that it may be longer than that. As well, if they're sending it to you in the US, the mailing alone will take a longer time. Some companies don't even do their own payroll and such, a Head Office will have to process it. Again, I stress...do NOT wait for the ROE. File immediately.

2007/08/08: Phone call. INTERVIEW

2007/08/16: Interview letter arrives.

2007/09/03: My baby girl leaves for Trent University

2007/09/12: Interview@8:15 APPROVED

2007/09/19: Visa received in hand

2007/10/08: POE Sarnia/Port Huron

2007/10/09: Home
