Just about to file I-130

Hi All,

We are just about to file the I-130, just a couple of pics to get and we are away. Before we send it, I just wanted to check a couple of things

1) I assume that when it says "copies" or things such as wedding certs, etc it means photo copies and not certified copies.

2) We have very little in joint names, the mortgage is in my name because Andrea couldn't jointly apply due to the lack of time she has been in the country. All we have is our counsil tax bill and I have also copied out online bank statement (no address on this statement) as we only get on-line statements

3) I assume normal passport pics can be used (and on the instructions it says only 1 each), should I attach these to the G-325a form (paper clip)

4) Any advise on how it should be presented and in what order, we are DCF'ing so should would you also send it registered post?

Thanks for your help

Steve

Oh and http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/acs/passports/usppt.pdf

Same requirements but it also contains a list of places able to take the photos who in theory understand the requirements.

Ugh, So I can't just nip down to ASDA and hop into the passport photo machine ??, nothing in Leeds I see - lol, they don't make this easy do they !!

One more thing, I read on another site that I had to submit forms proving my wife and I actually live together, yet on the I-130 check list it mentions nothing about this, any ideas anybody??

Thanks

Think I have it sorted and I have found a photo place in Leeds :).

I think I'll follow the checklist and not send anything yet that proves we live together, as you say I suspect that I should take that to the Interview.

For the I-130, we had pictures done at Tesco and it was no problem at all. I wouldn't let that delay you sending out the package. However, I do think the US sized ones are necessary for the medical and visa, but I haven't reached that point yet so I can't confirm from personal experience.

It's safer to at least send the council tax bill. It's not on the London checklist, but it is part of the I-130 instructions now. We sent a copy of our council tax bill and a copy of our previous and current joint flat leases. Maybe it wasn't necessary, but it wasn't a problem and we felt safer.
