this is slightly different than pri's topic..

Me and my husband often get into arguments because of certain information i find on here and tell him about it.

Like for instance, when i tell him we need to get an updated I864, he gets irritated. He would say "well, the interview letter states "if not already submitted!"... And then i would tell him that alot of vj'ers had an updated one and it's good they did bcz the interviewer asked for it anyway!" ANd then he would get more irritated saying that i only listen to vj'ers and that i don't trust his judgement. So i would tell him "WEll, obviously i trust them more, they've GONE thru what we'll be going thru!!"

He gets very irritated when i mention anything about vj! The last time he got upset about this is when i was looking at my thumb and told him "lucky us that my fingers didn't have any cut or whatever the second time i did my fingerprints last mth!" And he said "Why? They would reschedule us? hahah!" And i said "Well, as a matter of fact, i've heard stories about some vjers who were rescheduled bcz they got a cut." And then he said " OOoooooh man! It's like these people have alllll the stories in the world!" And then we started arguing again..

Does your spouse get irritated like that also?

Short answer: Not really no.

We always check here - both of us - but if we're not sure, or the info is unclear, we cross check the info in other places as well - so theres really no conflict over VJ-info. This is still an excellent resource :)

Agent smith, how do you make her "do what u say?"

When it comes to immigration, she knows I know what I'm talking about and more importantly, she knows she doesn't really know what she's talking about. So once the tantrum over extra effort is over, she gets in gear.

My wife doesn't read VJ. Thank God or I'd be in trouble ;)

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

No, not really about actual immigration stuff...but I know he thought I shouldn't worry so much when reading horror stories on here about stuff that "could" happen in regards to adjusting.

We've never argued about VJ; it wouldn't be worth it.

lol, with everything else, yeah. Not with immigration. She makes a conscious effort to know as little about it as possible, lets me take care of that.

My husband introduced me to this site. Talking about stuff on VJ/immigration doesn't really bother him. Sometimes it does a little when he thinks something doesn't seem right. But he's okay with me reading and sharing info from VJ because it means that he won't have to do any reading here. :D

He made a mistake on the I-864 (we're expecting an RFE) recently, so now he asks me to look up stuff. :D

he disagrees with things. Like the fact that I should be able to present originals at the consulate if asked. He says there is no way they can expect him to send his original documents to another country and that they are not getting them.

When we got a copy of his divorce paper from the courthouse, I told him to get a certified copy and he refused, saying that he was not going to give it to me anyway. But the lady behind the counter toldhim if it was for a visa, he needed a certified copy, and certified it. But he still is refusing to send it to Canada. Oh well.
