I'm still quite new here....I posted a question a few days ago but realised I hadn't intoduced myself yet so here I am.

I'm Jess, British and married for 16 years to a New Yorker. We met in London, got married- eloped to be more precise- in the States (Arlington, Virginia during a weekend visit); set up home in England and have lived there ever since.

We have 2 kids, 12 and 13; British born but with US citizenship too, of course. We go back to NY twice a year to see the family but have now decided to move over to Rhode Island permenantly. We're very excited and can't wait to move!!

Haven't filed the I-130 yet as we need to get hold of hubbie's birth certificate and a few other bits and pieces, but we're hoping to get started as soon as possible.

Great to have found this forum- talking to other people who have been through this really helps. Thanks guys!

1986-03-10 : We met in London

1986-06-30 : Got engaged! He left London to return to NY

1987-09-01 : Lived together in London while he was on student programme

1987-12-30 : Moved to Spain together

1988-06-30 : I returned to London, he returned to NY. Long distance engagement follows!

1991-05-20 : Got married in VA, US on a long weekend away!

1991-05-24 : Returned together to London to set up home here, with him on a tourist visa. Applied for residency.

1992-08-07 : He's granted indefinite right to live and work in UK.

1993-10 : Son born

1995-01 : Daughter follows.

2007-09-15 : I-130 Sent. Here begins our journey!

2007-09-18 : I-130 NOA1 recieved.

2007-11-12 : Applied to local Hampshire Constabulary for Police Certificate

2007-11-19 : Had vaccinations done by own GP- pertussis, tetanus, diptheria, mumps, rubella, measles, flu.

2007-12-17 : I-130 NOA 2 received- hooray!!

2007-12-22 : Police Certificate AND Packet 3 arrive- together!! This is quick!

2008-01-10 : Returned Packet 3 to Embassy

2008-01-29 : Packet 4 arrived

2008-02-06 : Medical at 10.30am

2008-02-11 : EMBASSY INTERVIEW!!

Sept. 9/08... SSA office to change status to "U.S. citizen"

May 26/05... K-2 Interview - APPROVED!!!!

Feb. 22/06... AOS Interview - APPROVED!!!!! (Passport NOT stamped)

Dec. 4/07... I-751 sent to NSC

May 23/08... 10-Yr. PR Card arrives in the mail

Mar. 22/11.... N-400 sent to AZ

June 27/11..... Interview - PASSED!!!

July 12/11..... Oath Ceremony

06 March 2010 - received I-797C, Notice of Action/Receipt

01 April 2010 - Biometrics Appointment (Biometrics done 4/7/10)

27 April 2010 - received I-797C/ Request to Appear for Naturalization Interview

02 June 2010 - Interview schedule

17 June 2010 - Oath Taking (Memorial Auditorium, Sacramento, CA)

22 Jun 05 - We met in a tiny bar in Williamsburg, Va. (spent all summer together)

27 May 06 - Sasha comes back for a 2nd glorious summer (spent 8 months apart)

01 Jan 07 - Jason travels to Moscow for 2 weeks with Sasha

27 May 07 - Jason again travels to Moscow for 2 weeks of perfection

14 July 07 - I-129F and all related documents sent to VSC

16 July 07 - I-129F delivered to VSC and signed for by P. Novak

20 July 07 - NOA1 issued / receipt number assigned

27 Sep 07 - Jason travels to Moscow to be with Sasha for 2 weeks

28 Nov 07 - NOA2 issued...TOUCHED!...then...APPROVED!!!

01 Dec 07 - NVC receives/assigns case #

04 Dec 07 - NVC sends case to U.S. Embassy Moscow

26 Dec 07 - Jason visits Sasha in Russia for the 4th and final time of 2007 :)

22 Feb 08 - Moscow Interview! (APPROVED!!!)..Yay!

24 Mar 08 - Sasha and Jason reunite in the U.S. :)

31 May 08 - Married

29 Dec 08- Alexander is born

11 Jan 10 - AOS / AP / EAD package sent

19 Jan 10 - AOS NOA1 / AP NOA1 / EAD NOA1

08 Feb 10 - AOS case transferred to CSC

16 Mar 10 - AP received

16 Mar 10 - AOS approved

19 Mar 10 - EAD received

22 Mar 10 - GC received
