So on Apr 21 at the St. Paul office I will have my biometrics. I will take the letter, passport, DL, SSN,and NOA. Anything else required? Anyone know how long after I can expect my EAD adn AP? I am sure I will get to work just as summer is approaching...oh well. Thanks, one more bridge crossed.

as of Dec 10, 2006 still no greencard....waiting and waiting....USCIS says we are approved, and check back in 60 days...no idea what is happening

Dec 18, email stating welcome letter is in the mail

Dec 20, 5 emails saying they ordered production of my new card......

Dec 24...welcome to America letter in the snail mail

Dec 26...GC in hand and all is correct...

11/13/08 touched and email stating card production ordered and will be sent to me in 30 days

11/21/08 GC in hand no mistakes expires 11/13/18

You passport, letter and NOA should be sufficient (that is all that they asked to see), but I also took a bunch of other documents that they did not need. As for when you will receive your EAD and AP it is anyones guess. Sometimes it takes a week sometimes months, but since you filed so early hopefully it will be a week or so.

If you have a name change through marriage, then bring your marriage certificate (the official one, not the fancy one). They will probably want to see it along with your NOA/notice, your passport and photo ID.

They did ask for my marriage cert so be sure to bring that with you.

Alot of people got turned away not having that with them.

Its usually 90 days from your NOA till you recieve your card in the mail.

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

Since it will be over 2 months since filing, you'll probably get EAD within a week or two of biometrics. Your AP is not tied to biometrics, so you may get it before then.

09-02-2005 Applications for AOS, EAD, and AP received by MSC

10-21-2005 AOS fingerprint notice for 12-08-2005

11-07-2005 AP approved

12-05-2005 Infopass appt at San Jose office for interim EAD -- Refused, because it is already approved by MSC on 11-07-2005

12-07-2005 Attempt at interim EAD at San Francisco office -- no go. Back to San Jose, where CSO (chief station officer) tells they will contact MSC via email to request permission to issue interim EAD

12-08-2005 Biometrics for AOS and EAD. Having no EAD appt letter was no problem (used EAD NOA)

12-15-2005 EAD arrived in the mail

12-24-2005 Received interview letter; interview scheduled 03-01-2006

01-28-2006 Received replacement SSN card in married name (5 wks since application)

03-01-2006 AOS interview -- approved; received stamp in the passport

03-13-2006 Green card arrived in the mail

Hey, that isn't too bad at all. Our NOA1 for all three was three weeks before yours and are appointment for biometrics is just three days before yours! (We are going through St. Paul too). St. Paul has gotten better on their processing for AOS, I hope we both get appointments for that soon:)

Another case of "it depends on the officer" :)

The only things I was asked for were the biometrics appointment letter and my ID (and I had had a name change through marriage as well).

But it is always better to be prepared for anything......I as well had brought everything I could think of that might be useful, including NOA and marriage certificate :D

03/17/06 filed for AOS

03/28-06 touched

04/04/06 biometrics

04/05/06 touched

05/23/06 transfered to CSC

06/17/06 touched

08/16/06 touched

11/20/06 USCIS cust.service started inquiry about case (because it's outside of processing times)

11/30/06 approval e-mail

12/07/06 Greencard in the mail (= 8 months and 21 days for the entire AOS process)
