8/22/07- You guys are awesome...thanks so much for sharing your thoughts about Dean! My fiance made it through safely. JPS turned on his power yesterday and everything is pretty much back to normal. My family in Southern JA. said they had a couple of down trees and flooding, but nothing serious..THANK GOD!!! I hope everyone else in Dean's path made it through alright!

My boyfriend and his family made it through okay. Damage to the house roof, (Kitchen area) and a tree fell into a part of the house, but no water damage inside and everyone safe. As of last night, still no electric. (He lives in Ocho Rios) Don't know about H2O. Just wishing I was there with him...

I understand what you mean. Wish I was there with the family as well. As far as I am concerned, as long as they are okay and have their limbs and faculties about them, everything is minimal. I hope all else is good.

Got a text message from my hubby this morning - he got back electricity last night, but they are still without water. I am sure that will soon follow.

Enjoy your trip when you go back in September . Hopefully everything is back on track by then.

Glad, to hear all is well. Hopefully power should be back 'relatively' soon..elections are coming up soon and I am pretty sure neither JLP or PNP want pissed electricless (if there is such a word) people heading to the polls.

But we'll see.

My fiancé is well in Clarendon and my future MIL, SIL, and NIL are all fine in St. Elizabeth. I spoke to my fiancé on Friday and there is cell signal in Clarendon but still no electric.

I hope everyone affected by Dean are all well!
