If you want to discuss other pollution theories then we can. Right now we are talking about GW. Man made CO2 is the basis for the GW hysteria and it hasn't been shown to effect the climate at all.

I don't discount the effects of pollution and ozone depletion. I only discount the effects of man-made CO2 and it's contribution to GW.

Pollution is different from CO2. I am all for stopping pollution. CO2 on the other hand is a naturally occurring substance. Everything that breaths makes CO2. Volcanoes and forests make much more CO2 than man does. There is no scientific connection to the additional CO2 that industrial man makes to the warming of the planet. It's just a theory and conjecture.

Thats like saying because radiation is naturally occurring substance, and everything that breaths makes radiation. Therefore the amount that man can create must not be harmful!!!!

This discussion would not happen anywhere else in the world, even Bush has now stated that global warming is happening and than man is the likely cause.

There is a direct link the with the start of the industrial revolution and the increase in temperature in the oceans and the air. I have been to a place in Scotland that use to have palm trees as a direct result of the gulf stream flow bringing in the warm water and air. There was report recently that they have all started to die because of the ice caps melting and the water pouring into the ocean and changing the gulf stream.
