Hahahahaha! So true!!

Ok, so I was obsessed with the Crystal Light drinks for the longest time...I am over it now, but I still have a treat every once in a while.

I have also discovered Splenda Flavor Packets for Coffee- French Vanilla and Hazelnut. They're great!!

My hubby loves P.F. Changs, I love Montgomery Inn here in Cincinnati....Graeter's Ice Cream is also legendary here in Cincy.

One thing you have to watch with foods in the grocery store is the High Fructose Corn Syrup. Have you noticed how Ketchup in the U.S. tastes different from the Ketchup in Canada? Yup, it's way sweeter due to the High Fructose Corn Syrup....that stuff is very very bad for you. Your body has a hard time breaking it down and it causes health problems...hence why Health Canada banned it. It makes sense if you think about it- Canada has public health care so it's in their best interest to ban substances that cause health problems. The U.S. on the other hand has privatized health care. They don't care if something causes health issues...ultimately it makes the insurance companies and hospitals more money!! Awful...

I always grab a few Costco packages of Heinz Ketchup when I am in Canada so I don't have to eat the U.S. Ketchup.

I personally love Flaming Hot Cheetos and Lays, the spicy KC masterpiece from Lays, laffy taffys, miracle whip. Living in Kansas City I love the steaks and the BBQ ribs. Also love Popeyes Chicken.

Love Cheetos as well! Maybe in small doses though - don't get the little 30g bags like you get here in the UK... ;)

My chip of choice... especially as the Salt and Vinegar chips here just don't taste the same as a bag of Walkers.

Salt & Vinegar crisps are a nightmare to find in the US - Lays are the only ones I found so far but they just don't taste the same as back home... :(

My husband is in love with Taco Bell! He could eat there every day and be totally happy.

I love the crunch wraps at Taco Bell!! Mmmmm.....

Agreed - it is 1715 and I have 15 minutes left of work before driving home in rush hour traffic. And I am starving...

Those splenda packs sound gorgeous!! I must get my OH to hunt some down as I am still in the UK!!! Also agreeing with you on the corn syrup - it is in everything and it is just so not nice ;)

Ok - other things I love...

There is a gorgeous Thai restaurant called Papaya Bay in Yucaipa CA which is soo good. I love corn dogs as well - you just don't get those here :) I also love the Hersheys mini cookies, teddy grahams, sleepytime tea, peanut butter m&ms...

Have you noticed how nearly everything mentioned is not good for you?! I am dreading my diet going downhill when I move - esp as I have to fit into my wedding dress still four months after my wedding!!!

Have you ever heard of Pei Wei? It's owned by PF Changs and serves the same food only cheaper. It doesn't offer the complete PF Chang menu but most of the favorites are there.

I personally like McDonald's chicken nuggets with Chipotle sauce, PF changs & Pick Up Stix.

My fiance loves PF changs & pick Up Stix too, and Outback, Chilli's & Del Teco.

We both LOVE PF Changs! Sadly there isn't one close than an hour and a half away! But, maybe that's a good thing!!

No I haven't! I'll have to see if there is one closer to Buffalo than PF Changs. I would give anything for cheicken cool lettuce wraps and some salt & pepper prawns. *drooling*

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything

I really like Applebees. Also Pei Wei's, Red Lobster and Chick-fil-A.

Outback Steakhouse is good for when I'm feeling homesick - even though it's American, they've done a good job with the Aussie theme!

I think my favourite place is The Cheesecake Factory.

I love the bottomless glasses of soft drink in most US restaurants which is unheard of at home ... and that many restaurants have pages and pages in their menus ... sometimes it's really hard to choose though! :hehe:

In addition to Outback, Mags is also quite fond of Wendy's, The Monon (a local diner-thing), Mexican food, Texas Roadhouse, and she says she really liked The Cheesecake Factory.

I can't get her to try PB&J, nor will she even get near biscuits & gravy, grits, or hominy.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I'm not gonna talk about fast foods that we have in Brazil, such as McDonalds, and at least there they taste the same.

I guess food that I eat here and it's not something you see in Brazil everyday that I learned to love are doughnuts, american chinese food and Cold Stone.

Oh, and like Nessa, PB&J. We have all that but you don't see brazilians putting them together.
