My daughter is making me take her to see Hairspray tonight. I'm not too thrilled about that. The boys are going to see Rush Hour 3. I wanna go with them.

We saw this yesterday - was nice. There was a German version a few years ago so we were curious...it was good though (not a summer blockbuster of course).

I heard that Rush Hour 3 is boldly terrible.

Stardust is pretty good – we saw that last weekend. Also the Bourne Ultimatum was ok (not as good as Bourne Identity IMO)

Not really up for Superbad – they’re really hyping that one up and all the trailer clips look pretty unfunny to me.

Invasion I’ll probably see – but I heard that the production was problematic. Apparently they filmed most of it before Daniel Craig got cast as James Bond, and the cast had to return later for extensive reshoots. Invasion of the Body Snatchers has been remade so many times – be hard to stand up to the 1978 version.

we saw Stardust too recently... it was pretty good.... just a nice entertaining movie and you have to watch the movie just to see Deniro's performance

there is a movie coming out soon with Kerri Russel called August Rush, it looks pretty good but I will probably wait until it comes out on DVD to watch it....

I usually only like going to see action adventure/ fantasy type movies at the theater....

Yeah, I'm skeptical about Superbad - maybe I'm just getting older, but it seems like the movie is funnier if you're either a teenaged nerd or still a virgin.

We'll probably go see Bourne Ultimatum, but I'm open to Stardust.

Yeah everyone has been raving about superbad, but I don't think it looks that funny. I know it was made by the same ppl that made knocked up (which I thought was absolutely hilarious) so it might not be too bad. My wife is desperate to see Hairspray, but I am trying to talk her out of it, but I did drag her to transformers, so its her turn to pick

Agreed with that. But the movie had its moments too.

I was definitely interested in The Invasion when it was first filming (the director has made two great films in Das Experiment and Der Untergang) but when I found out the Wachowskis were hired to rewrite and the 2nd unit director from the Matrix sequels to direct some reshoots, my interest dropped drastically. We'll still see it eventually, but I'm hoping the original version sees the light of day on DVD.

I've been told by 3 different people that "The Bourne Ultimatum" is really, really good.

I really don't know why they had to do a remake of "Hairspray", the original one came out less than 20 years ago and it was good enough. What a waste.

I think you're right. I recall reading he did direct that too.

I'd have less reservations about The Invasion if it wasn't for those Matrix sequels. I really enjoyed The Matrix and Bound was a pretty good movie too.

It could have been worse - they could have gotten Michael Bay to direct. That's what happened to The Island - apparently they fired the original screenwriter so that they could 'Bay-ify' the script.

No coincidence that the first 30 minutes are more interesting than all of the action ####### that kicks in afterwards.
