yay Friday...just had pizza with my coworkers...

...found out my new laptop FINALLY shipped!!! I only ordered it July 21...hell I was about to start taking bets on who would get here first...laptop or fiance? lol

Hi everyone! We're heading to New York City this weekend!!!!! I'm excited but not looking forward to the 4 hr drive. I just hope traffic isnt' too bad tonight. It will be a nice scenic trip for my hubby:). Not sure what we're going to do but I really just want to go and eat and little stores and maybe take him to Ellis Island. I want to find my grandpa's name on the wall and have Youssef stand next to it, sorta like the place where both of our lives in America started.

May 11 '09 - Case Approved 10 yr card in the mail

June - 10 yr card recieved

Feb. 19, 2010 - N-400 Application sent to Phoenix Lockbox

April 3, 2010 - Biometrics

May 17,2010 - Citizenship Test - Minneapolis, MN

July 16, 2010- Retest (writing portion)

October 13, 2010 - Oath Ceremony

Journey Complete!

If you girls don't see me online tomorrow, dont be surprised. I am having a wine-n-cheese party tonight. We are hosting all our friends and I made a huge italian feast. I also picked up 6 red wines and 6 white wines and we are going to have a tasting to determine which ones we are gonna serve at the wedding. That's a lot of wine and there is only 6 of us. :whistle:

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

I wish I were going to NYC for the weekend!! I can't wait to bring Usama there. I normally go once a year at the end of July with my girlfriends but my trip to Egypt kind of tapped me out so it'll have to wait till he gets here. I always have to go to Ellen's Stardust Diner when I'm there. Even if you don't end up hitting a show you still get to feel the broadway atmosphere since the waitors/waitresses sing (pretty darn good voices too) the most current songs from the most current shows on broadway. They're meatloaf is to die for too!!!! :thumbs:http://www.menupages.com/restaurantdetails...d=22&home=Y We usually stay at the Holiday Inn on W57th. About $100/night and only about $20/night or so to park.

Oh boy I can't wait, I reallllly need this. I have been so stressed lately and this night of relaxation is exactly what I need. I bit the bullet yesterday and prepped all the food so that I don't have to do much today. I got the hookahs ready to be fired up and all I'm waiting for now is for the clock to say 5!

Have fun!!! :thumbs: I used to love a good Cabernet but anytime I would ever drink wine I would wake up with a huge rip roarin' migraine that would last the whole day. :angry:

I was just watching one of the umma films about cleanliness and I have a question...............do most muslim men really pee sitting down? :unsure: I'm gonna have to ask my husband this one. I just assumed all guys, muslim or otherwise, peed standing up.

I know mine does and cited cleanliness as his reason.

Two times over even! Wadi's sister Najet just gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl. No names yet. I hope to see pictures soon, but I don't expect any digital photos via email anytime soon, I suppose.

Good morning all, hope its a lovely friday for everyone!

Hey, MK, Amal, MBP and I can't remember who else lives in Houston and San Antonio areas but you guys take care and be careful with all that rain and flooding, I saw some scary stuff on CNN this morning....

Our area hasn't flooded yet but I got the crud beat out of my car on my way to work yesterday! Dean is heading str8 for the Gulf and they are saying it is going to be realllllly bad. I've never been through a hurricaine before so I'm kind of nervous about what to do. I live in South Houston so .. is it safe there or should we pack up and leave until its over?? It is insane too coz at the stores, ppl are buying bottled water like crazy...case by case. I probably should do the same. I should also get some canned stuff just to prepare. Being from Missouri, I can deal with Tornados, Earthquakes, and severe snow storms but how do you prepare for a hurricaine???? ugggg...

and WOM- Please take care girl since it seems to be way worse on ur side of town. You are welcome to stay at my place if need be.

Mine does it both ways. Also, some Muslim men wipe after #1 and some do not.
