What's the best way to get US IV visa section in London to respond? They have printed my name wrong on my IR-1 visa. It's been two weeks since I emailed them, and then faxed them but no word at all. Is there any better way to get them to respond?

I am getting desperate here as I am leaving the UK permanently by 10 September (going back to my home country for a while before moving to USA) and God knows if I leave in Sept. how am I going to get my name corrected on my visa?

oh yes, and they acknowledged receipt of my email advising me that it may take upto 4 working days to answer. but it's been 10 working days now.

It may sound like a daft question, but did you get a reference code for your e-mail from the extortion line?

Also, you could try calling the Dept of State here in the US and see what they can do (or can suggest).

(202) 663-1225 - press 1, then 0 to get a live person.
