I hope all VJ's from Peru adn their families who are in Peru right now or other cities are fine after the earthquake that hit us last night.

My fiancee Roxana and her family are safe in Lima. Her parnets were in Caneta visiting her grandparents when the earthquake struck. Caneta is about 60-70 south of Lima coser to the epicenter.Her father said it felt like he was on a boat the way the ground moved in waves. The grandparnets house is fine but most of the city of Caneta took a big hit from what I am reading in the news.

Please keep the people of Peru in your prayers.

Thanks to our god my husband and family are OK. I just got to speak with him on the telephone and my family lives in Lima Peru. Now I have heard his voice; I know everything is going to be OK!

Thank god your families are ok. I live in Lima, in Miraflores, and I can say I was scared shitless during the 2 minutes earthquake! It felt so strong! We have trembles but this was my first earthquake ever and I don't want to go through that again! The last tremble we had was at 10.30am. No more please!

The earthquake also caused some lightening in the sky, check this out:

It was unbelievable. For the people who had been here, the road down the beach in Miraflores (COSTA VERDE) is closed, it got cracked, stones came off from the cliff and the sea came off the shore in some parts. Some parts of Panamericana Sur highway is closed, it also got cracked.

The city of Pisco is very damaged but they are being helped now.....

So there had been other trembles after the big one? OMG! We are used to have trembles all the time here in Guatemala also! But when I heard the news last night... Wow! Yours was a real big one!

I hope that everyone is able to receive the help and medical attention needed.

Yeap, the first one was 7.9 magnitude, second one 7.5 and after that one we've been having till 6 in the morning 140 aftershocks. We've felt a couple ones last night and also this morning, the last tremble was at 10.30. I haven't felt anything since then. Probably the numbers of aftershocks had increased already. This definitely was the real deal because on july 29th we had one and I was out of the city, close to the mountains and it felt strong for me.

Hopefully we won't have anymore trembles for a while....
