Hi,

Its going to be over 90 days since i applied for the EAD in NBC. I got an RFE in the middle , i sent it back within a week. I have my job offer really waiting , but is there anything i can do to expedite the EAD. I m also trying to make an infopass appointment for a week now and i dont seem to be getting the appointment with NBC. Is there anything else i can do ? Can i just walk in to my denver local office without the appointment.

Any thoughts???

You cannot make an appointment with NBC, I am not sure if I am reading that wrong.

I have heard of other people doing walk-ins at their local office, but they had to wait until all the other appointments were seen prior. A few got sent home due to lack of time for any additional appointments that day.

I have seen one other person on this site get their EAD expedited through their congressperson.

My experience with scheduling INFOpass for the Wash DC local office (in Fairfax, VA) was as follows:

I tried a number of times during the work day and got the message that no appts were available, which I assume is what you are getting. I was in a panic about the situation and so drove to the Fairfax office and asked the attendant at the front desk about how to get an INFOpass appointment. This person told me to put in a zip code OTHER THAN MY OWN (she wrote it down for me). She also suggested trying later at night... I think around 10 pm, if I recall correctly. Apparently, the calendar shows different things depending on what zip code you enter and what time of day you check.

If you are within driving distance of your local office, you may want to drive over there and ask them for help in scheduling an appointment.

Good luck!

Maya

Many thanks to the Visajourney community for all the help!

why not try another zip code in your area as Maya suggested? I used 80201 and was able to see dates available.

Were u able to see dates with 80201. I tried the same and it says no appointment info available. I used the option for EAD inquiry.

As Maya said, should i try late in the nite? Some one says i can expedite EAD using offer letter ? is it possible?

I chose option ~ You need information or other services. Not specific, but also does nto exclude your situation. Be creative!

(and yes, I have already read USCIS "releases" cancelled dates back into the system later at night)

Thanks so much. I was able to make an appointment now. Hopefuly when i visit them they atleast send a request for my interim EAD
