My bank says they can't give me a letter with the total deposits for the year...willl copies of the bank statements work in place of the total depsosits???? Help..

Probably but if your income is sufficient and documentable, you can simply leave blank and ignore all asset related information on the form.

Well I have no documented income for 2006 however I do since January 2007. Im also co owner of a joint account with sufficient income in and out. I do have a co sponsor in the background and all that information is filled in as well. I have my social security statment which shows I've had income EVERY year except last year for the last 26 years...just to show i DID have a consistant work background and am not likely to be a public charge. I just left employment for a year to take care of my parents. I was needed at home. I will include this in my cover letter. My income is over the 125% level however I have no savings..but do have 75% ownership of the house with a equity of around $60,000. Its that one year I cant' document that scares me. Will I need a co sponser since we do all live in the same home, (independent of each other) and when I file the I864 it will be a household income showing NOT just mine. What would u suggest? Co sponser or just have that information ready in case its needed?

Then I'd skip the co-sponsor and leave off the assets too. You can state your current income as your 2007 income annualized, then include three year's tax returns with a brief statement about 2006. Document your current income with pay stubs and an employer letter (if you can) for good measure. The SS statement is a nice touch.

Sounds good....I thought the SS statemtent would be good....not all years did i meet the income guidelines...but it shows I DID work every year of my life since 16 EXCEPT last year. Even then I DID work...but the income was in my fathers name for personal reasons. Thanks for the advice. I'll just have the co sponser information ready in case they ask.
