Yes many us want to get together. Yes there is a chance we may not get along, who knows. To be quite honest, I'm not overly social, BUT i should really try to get out more often! What's the harm, we get together, it works out or it doesn't. Everyone has different interests, and we can't all expect to gel even though we all have something in common(we all adore flames9--no I mean immigration)

Yes I realize some are still awaiting interviews, but lets make a move!! I can't get together until Friday Sep 7 (away to Canada and RI) So does that fri or sat (8)work for the MAJORITY??? go somewhere for supper then dancing!! I suck at dancing,but after a few beers, WHO CARES!! We can spend it with our loved ones and make %%$^ of ourselves and have a good laugh!

I'm sure our age groups will differ and our interests, but we all have the immigration process to yip about and how the maple leafs suck@@ Enjoy a meal, a few brews and dance the night away!! Us men can get MANY brownie points for dancing badly!!

As time goes on, if it goes well, we get together a bit more often,or not. As I stated earlier,it may or may not work out. We can meet at restaurant, bar or a house??? Let's party,lol

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Don't give me that old excuse " Montreal is holding me back" Thats soooooo lame,been used by soo many,lol

Would you all want to meetup in central VA? ;)

I'd have to coordinate things with the boy since I don't drive but yeah, let's get this started sometime this fall! I should hopefully have my GC by then!

Think I was at the one in Arlington back in June. Was good food. There is a few dance places by there as well

I agree with you about OTHER parts of Central VA but it's civilised here, I swear. Well as civilised as it can get!

Sorry, was out of town on business for the last few days and didn't have access to a computer or VJ until today. :o

Anyway, ironically enough Derek and I will be in Montreal that week, but should be back by the 6th. I have to work on the 8th though so we vote for meeting up on the 7th. As for location, both Alexandria (Murphy's?) and Arlington (Clarendon Ballroom?) work for us.

I hear the drinks will be on Scott, lol!
