I am trying to make appointment on the InfoPass for my EAD because it's more than 90 days since filing.

But the system wouldn't let me and indicate the following:

"At this time, there are no information appointments available for the office in your area. Please try back again later."

Any recommendations on what should I do about my EAD?

Can you try another zip?

I know what you mean. When we needed an infopass appointment there was only one day open with two appointments before 7:00 AM. Fortunately we are about the same distance from Tampa so we made an appointment there. Did I remember that there is an office in West Palm Beach? You might try there, but it is a shame they cannot accommodate peoples needs in Miami.

Yea, thanks for the feedbacks;

Would you tell me what will happen during the appointment about my EAD?

We live in Naples, we might just go up to Tampa.

Thanks again.

We live in Naples too! Our visit had to do with a long wait for AOS. They should be able to help you if it has been more than 90 days. Not sure what will happen at the appointment however.

How long did you wait considered long? I am also waiting for my AOS, and just want to have an idea on when I should schedule Infopass for AOS.

Miami office seems like a slow one; I heard some people suggest to call local congressman to get help; I am not sure if it works that way.

At the time if it was more than six months it was considered over the normal wait time. It took almost 8 months from sending the I-485 to the interview. Unfortunately the infopass appointment in Tampa was a waste of time....even worse. I'll see if I can find the link to my post about it and send it to you.

Everything turned out OK in the end. Got the green card in March.

If you go for an infopass appointment about your EAD taking longer than 90 days all that will hapen is the local office will send a request to the service center to ask for a decition to be made on your EAD or an interim EAD be issued... local offices no longer issue interim EAD's that stopped in Sept 2006...

Well, yes, so what is the best that i can do to expedite the EAD? i have my important job offer waiting and i am afraid if i would lose it coz of the wait. Calling customer service doesnt work. They dont give me a proper answer at all.

There is nothing you can do to expidite the EAD other than go to your local office and ask then to request a decision be made at the Service center... but you are still going to have to wait for it to be mailed to you once a decision has been made....

Overall this is a waiting game; planning during the transition could be very difficult since the time to process the paperworks are varied.

I also have a job waiting for me, but I need to get my EAD card before I can proceed the next steps.

I scheduled with Tampa local office, and I think it's not worth my time driving almost 4 hrs round trip and getting nothing. They can't issue anything on site.

I guess I am still inside the time frame of 6 months; so only thing i can do is wait and keep visiting VJ and be positive.

Here is a laugh for you. Just today I received a letter in the mail from USCIS regarding our inquiry on 1-18-07. We had called and then made an infopass appointment about the delay with my wife's green card. Following that we got a letter for the interview and the green card came in March. Todays letter was a follow up on that inquiry in January to let me know that our case was approved and the card was sent on March 2.

Thanks USCIS. As always you are right on the ball.

What a follow up, more than 7 months after the initial inquiry, great job USCIS.

By the way, did you interview and EAD got transfer to Miami?

My cases are still in National Benefit Center.

Received EAD in mail right at 90 days. AOS interview was scheduled in Miami. Got a letter about the interview just 3 weeks before the scheduled date. I watched online for activity (touches, etc) but found in our case the online info was almost useless.
