I am not sure if you all know this is happening but we are going to change the US before you know it. http://www.spp.gov/

We are moving towards a union with Mexico and Canada.

I think there is ample evidence out there that the US is heading towards a similar catastrophe. Irrespective of which party is in office, it is time to reinvest in America and on Americans. The biggest issue is people admitting there is a problem with the current way of thinking and the way things are done.

As a conservative I strongly believe you cannot leave health, education or safety in the hands of the free market or lobbyist.

Where's Nero ?

I'm just playing with you,but it is a very interesting theory which I have heard before.Rumor has it that China will be the superpower to replace the USA.

Is the real problem that we sent soooo many jobs to other countries? If we loose all of our ability to be self reliant what will happen? Every great empire has fallen throughout history, the US is very young compared to some of the others?

They also did not know any better. The country's ailing infrastructure, which is literally falling apart, can be fixed. It is sad to see us building homes overseas while 8 million Americans lose theirs. Sad to see illegal immigrants steal jobs from the 45,000,000 Americans living in poverty. Sad to see employers profiteering off illegal immigrants and short changing other hard working Americans while they drive $100,000 cars and pay next to no taxes.. It is stuff like this, stuff that the American people can change, that is leading to a Rome style destruction.

These companies are GIVING illegal immigrants jobs.Up here in Southern NE,there are certain indusrties that will ONLY hire illegal immigrants.

I doubt companies are only hiring illegals, ICE would be there already and they would all be in jail. I am curious about what type of job these people are doing and why Americans don't want to do them?

The majority of the Americans who are loosing their homes probably bought a home they couldn't afford in the first place or spent way too much on credit cards. the 45,000,000 americans mentioned living in poverty, how many of them could get a second job? How many could go to night school or college online? I am not saying all of them could do better but a large number could.

Compare how much a person making $100,000.00 a year to a person making $25,000.00 a year and see who pays more taxes? Until you actually crunch the numbers you cannot say someone driving $100,000.00 isn't paying hardly any taxes. And when you consider taxes that contribute to the economy you must consider sales taxes also. That person that bought that car paid between $6,000.00 to $10,000.00 in sales tax. The wealthy people in the US are not the ones that are responsible for the current economic situation in the US, it is the middle class that has overextended itself. I guess you could blame the wealthy because they lent us the money and gave us the credit cards.

Bla bla with the illegals. Its a petty way of misdiagnosing the reversal of the brain flow in this nation. It used to be that we (and still are) a destination for intellectual capital- but other markets are opening up in Asia that are consuming more of that and with interest.

The flow is starting to move outwards of this nation and the financial services industry is replacing the productivity sectors of the economy. This is what happened with strong superpowers like the Dutch and Brits back in the day and it will most likely occur here.

It would be mature to assume that we could correct many of these problems by attending to depolarizing the political arguments that divide a nation's economic drive into conservative and liberal tendencies, insularize the appropriate economic policies that strengthen domestic markets while creating international dynamics that do not create mass flow of low-skilled labor our way, and diversify our standard of living as a society not above the rest of the world but rather a very integral part of the rest of humanity.

Sadly, we still continue to think we are somehow ** sapiens plus and entitled to all the icing on the cake, plus the cake.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
