Hi Everyone,

I sent in our I-129 on July 24 and I have not gotten anything back stating they received our packet. Is this a normal time frame or should I be getting worried.

Thanks, Tina

how did you send it? was it trackable? thats where you can start. did you enclose a check? or money order? if check you can see when its cashed thru your bank. sinec you are close to the cut off date for the new fees, i think they are just slow getting back to you. give it a week or so. besides Nebraska will forward it to California i believe, so it will take alittle time to show up.

It's not that unusual lately. It took them around a month to cash our cheque. See my signature for the dates.

Don't worry. You will receive something soon. Chris is right. It just takes more time because your petition was redirected to California. Get the receipt number from the back of the cashed check. That's one thing USCIS is usually quick with....cashing the checks. Go figure. Then you'll be able to monitor your progress closely. use this website once you get it.

Click on case status online. should be on the left. then you can do a search for that particular receipt number. When you find it, add it to your personal portfolio. Then you can be notified through emails when the status changes. Good luck and welcome to VJ.

our I-129F was sent july 27th. i called today and asked if i should be worried that i havent received a NOA1 yet. i was worried that my IMBRA waiver request was going to create a problem. i was given what i think is a boiler plate response in that they are delayed in sending out the notices and that i shouldnt worry, and that the packet is not just sitting and waiting. only that the notices are delayed.... that reply leaves me skeptical but obviously nothing else can be done
