What's outrageous is the ammount of cash that's spent on American Presidential elections. Or should I say scandelous? Basing the success of candidates on the size of their wallet is not really the best basis for selecting a head of state. At least, not in my opinion.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

i fully agree. i check "do not wish to donate" to the presidential election on my tax forms every year.

eta: since we finally agreed on something, i'm commemorating the occasion with this:

I think you do have blinders on.

You are so very wrong Gary.

How can you tell? The blinders you have on about Hillary don't let you see the truth about her. She is a lying, pandering, controlling, power hungry, bitter woman. I pray you see the truth before you invest to much of your time in her.

I think just about every politician out there has all those traits. But I agree with you Gary. It cracks me up that when her husband took the presidency, her last name changed to "Rodham-Clinton". Okay. Now that she is running for president, where's the "Rodham"? It so conveniently disappeared

You all freely bash Hillary yet you have no viable alternative who is remotely on the radar!
I don't put up insulting and fraudulent ads. I am just Joe citizen expressing my opinion....If you don't see the difference between a candidate using a false ad....

She believes in what she is saying Gary. That is not fraud. Dictionaries are handy!

so did hitler........

NOT.EVEN.CLOSE.

my apologies, you're right. she still has some work to do on her moustache.

You've sunk to a new low Charles.

Comparing one US presendential candidate to one mass murderer isn't even remotely funny or appropo. And you're retired military? Even more shameful.

I find it interesting that her first ad is a negative one targeting Bush. The last time I looked Bush isn't running. Sounds really desperate to me. It also shows what kind of a person she is. No class at all.

Found this interesting:

A brilliant short-term tactic

While all the Democrats running for president have gleefully criticized Bush's presidency and his administration, no one has done this more than Clinton has. And no one has more of a reason to do so.

Taking on Bush, political observers say, bolsters her anti-war credentials at a time when some Democratic voters have questioned her 2002 vote authorizing the Iraq war. It placates liberals whose views on other issues might be more in line with Obama's or Edwards'. And it demonstrates her toughness, an important attribute for any presidential candidate — but particularly a female one.

"By making it Clinton versus Bush, she could well rally Democrats who are angry at the White House," says non-partisan political analyst Stuart Rothenberg. "I think it's a plus for her in the near term."

Democratic consultant Jenny Backus, who is neutral in her party's presidential nominating contest, agrees. "The ideal person to run against in a Democratic primary is George Bush," she says. "I think it's a brilliant short-term tactic."

"But," Backus adds, "it is not without its dangers," especially when voters seem to be fed up with politics as usual.

...

But Rothenberg doesn't see Clinton's dust-ups with the White House as a problem given that her campaign's goal — as of now — is to win the Democratic nomination. "I suppose in the long run there is a potential issue. But when you are going after the nomination, I don't know if it's that much of an issue."

Your right. So tell me why moveon.org did it?

The anti-Bush website Moveon.org has featured a second potential TV ad comparing President George W. Bush with Adolf Hitler.

The latest ad features images of the German military and dictator with the words "What were war crimes in 1945 is foreign policy in 2003," reports the Drudge Report. The final two frames include Hitler with his hand raised and then a shot of Bush with his hand up taking the oath of office.

My party is the Democrats, not moveon.org. My candidate is Hillary.

You think moveon.org is a rep supporting group? Who do they support?

Your side is just as bad as any other at smearing political opponents. Hillary is a professional at it. The war room is back in action and the smear campaign is about to start. Don't get all high and mighty about people smearing your girl. She does her share of it.

You posted a link to a 3 year old ad that has nothing to do with Hillary, nor does the group endorse her. Get real.

Good god, are you so delusional that you think a 3 YEAR OLD AD FROM ANOTHER ELECTION counts in your debate???
