Immigration activist? What we have here is a convict and a fugitive. I surely hope they arrest her arrogant azz.
You are right. She broke immigration law and all of the sudden she is immigration activist.

By that same token, a shoplifter would forthwith demand to be called a consumer advocate.

They should stop giving legal status to children whose parents are in US illegally.

That would certainly help address this false sense of entitlement among those illegals.

She can publicize her situation all she wants. None of that is going to take away from the fact that she was afforded due process of the law, that she was convicted as a result and that she snubbed at the lawful order to surrender to authorities. That makes her a convict and a fugitive. And that is all she is.

She put her sons wellbeing at risk by breaking a federal law Numerous laws at that, so she only has herslef to balme for this mess, she should step up face the music and explain to her son why the have to live a life in the shadows because she chose to break federal immigration laws.

I feel No sympathy for people who refuse to follow the law and feel they are entitled to special treatment or leniancy.

Daniel, I think the difference here is that generally speaking, the general public tends to think of an advocate or activist is someone who is actually on the RIGHT side of the law, or at least has some kind of valid argument or a leg to stand on.

I feel no sympathy for this woman, she has willfully and knowingly broken laws, not just immigration laws but fraud and probably numerous more. She's doing nothing more than using Christianity as a crutch, and spitting in the face of US Law.

I don't care how poor or how sad her life is, if my family (and trust me I'm far from rich) can do it the legal way, so can anyone else. I'm so FREAKING sick of excuses.

whatever her cause is. whether it is a valid one or not or she is illegal alien or not, she is still an advocate. really not that hard to understand. although I think I am correct here, we may be arguing semantics here. so won't spend more time on it. the person is in this situation and is attempting to change some laws. nothing wacko about the concept. her attempt may be wacko in a legal sense, but not concept of trying to change the circumstances.

There's a difference between trying to effect a change in the law and outright breaking it and disregarding a lawful order handed down by a court of law after having been afforded due process. That difference shouldn't be so hard to detect.

You can of course call and consider her what you want and she can call herself anything she pleases but at the end of the day, she's a convict and a fugitive.
