My interview has been scheduled for 10/2. My medical is scheduled for 9/25. I'm planning to take my medical on an earlier date. Is there a time of the month or day of the week that is better to take my medical? Otherwise, I'm planning to take it during the first two weeks of September. Should I St Lukes to reschedule my medical or is it okay for me to just show up -- no appointment needed?

Thanks

If you have your appointment letter, that's your ticket in irregardless of appointment date. In all seriousness, I would schedule around your period (or lack of).

GOOD idea to take the medical at least 3 weeks early in case something pops up.

No need to reschedule. Just go with the appointment letter, 3 passport photos and your passport. Plus pesos in the equivalent of 95 US.

I had my wife and anak to the medical almost 2 months early.

Some people don't go to St. Lukes until about 1 PM and avoid the morning rush.

Still takes 2 days [if no problems] no matter what time you go.

If something shows up on your x rays you may be required to have a 3 day sputum test for TB.

I had my wife and anak get xrays for TB 8 months prior to their medical. Test for Hepa B also.

Gives time to cure TB before St'Luke medical.

Hepa B is a different story tho.

what happen if the patient got 1? (hepa B) wont be granted a visa? or get treated 1st or what?

People that have Hepa B must undergo treatment and have evidence of doing so plus continue treatment once in the US.

Doesn't necessary cause visa denial.

I suggest going well in advance of your interview - like a month or so.

You don't need an appointment to go on a different date. The date they give you is just a week in advance of interview so they can get the results to the Embassy in time. Just remeber to bring your interview letter.

Plan on 2 days to finish.

You can go there any time just bring you appointment letter. No need to call SLEC for an appointment. I had my medical 1 month ahead of my scheduled appointment. Just be sure you don't have your "monthly period" when you go there. Good Luck!
