your timeline is not showing, might be to you but not anyone else. In London you need only case number and police cert, that said I have no idea what the visa is you are applying for, so it may be different.

Just be aware that you don't have an official VJ timeline. You have a timeline showing in your signature but if someone is viewing this thread on a mobile device, then they won't be able to see your signature.

My embassy is London, that's why i asked on here. My timeline is showing.

Other people get lost and post here too so that's why I asked. A VJ timeline asks your consulate. Or perhaps start your posts saying "I am processing in London.". Then we will know you aren't lost.

I can't read your signature timeline because of the tiny script font and being light gray, there isn't enough contrast for my old eyes. plus it's extra small on my iPad.

You need to be finished at NVC and get an interview assignment from them before having a medical. The K1s, on the other hand must have a medical before the embassy will assign an interview so they are handled differently.

Hi everyone,

I have my medical finally scheduled for a week on Monday - and I am starting to feel abit nervous about the whole experience.

I was wondering if anyone could provide some advice on the following questions:

Hosiptalization - does this include over night stays or day cases? And does this include childhood admission? Will I need a GP's letter about admission to hospital? I have a letter from the doctor who removed a mole in June (day case) not my GP stating no cancer and no follow up. But I also had a nose operation in 2003 for a deviated septum (overnight), wisdom teeth in 1997 (overnight) and squint operation in 1979. Do you think I will need to provide a GP's letter for this?

The problem is I have no NHS notes before 2012 as they have all been lost. I returned to my family doctors who had my notes from 1996 - 2003 saved on the computer. Will this be a problem?

Sorry if I am over worrying - help would be appreciated!

Thank you!

I would use the questionnaire that you will fill out as a general guideline of the conditions they might want to know more about. It's in this document on the last page http://photos.state.gov/libraries/unitedkingdom/164203/cons-visa/iv018a_medical.pdf

Moles, teeth, and nose jobs wouldn't require a write up from your doctor in my opinion. You could say yes to overnight stays and when he says why, tell what you were in for.

I often preach at you K1s to get all your shots before your medical exam so everything is recorded on the DS-3025 vaccination form from Knightsbridge. Here's a thread that gives an example of the bother you have to go through if you don't http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/461012-medical-exam-for-aos-after-k1/#entry6595252

Anything you get done after Knightsbridge will require a civil surgeon and an I-693. Imagine the hassle of calling 20 civil surgeons trying to find one that doesn't insist on doing the full exam over again. Skip the civil surgeon by getting those shots now. Before NOA2 is a great time to get that sorted.

Nich's right on this one folks. The NHS went and lost my notes from pretty much before 2003 so I have to have my MMR and DTaP redone at some point within the next few weeks. Do NOT trust the NHS to have kept records of your childhood shots - send a written request for your records and if they've lost them, say you need the missing jabs either put on the record or redone.

The disc I got back at my interview today appears to be blank... it's meant to have the chest x-ray on it, I think?

The lady told me to take it with me in hand luggage but are these things ever asked for? (I seem to remember someone commenting that POE won't care for it/have their own copy). Will I need this, ever, in the future? I suppose what I am asking is, do I need to chase this up or is getting this back just a bonus thing and I don't need to worry about possessing it? I know the medical only lasts for a certain amount of time anyway.

Thoughts?

You will never need the disc. Use it as a coaster for your drinks.

Lol, thank you. Slightly gutted as it was a cool looking image when I saw it on screen! But I'm not sure I want to own it enough to chase it, if I'm never going to need it in any official capacity.

You will need a DICOM image viewer (which should be on the disc) to view these images as they are in a specific medical imaging format. Looking at the disc (my PC uses Linux) I can view the contents which appear to include a viewer package for Windows only.

Currently downloading a Linux based DICOM package so I can see if I can export it.

I might get Bob to take a look at it, if he comes over to get me... But even looking at the disc in explorer it doesn't seem like any data is on it. It's like "750mb free of 750mb" or whatever *shrug*
