Also i am not k1 application Nich Nick , We have applied via I-130 , my husband has done it all through an attorney there in US . Originally i had my medical done in USA , then got an attorney who said i could do AOS as we had recently got married but i said no i wanted to return home and go through it via the I-130. Perhaps i will have to get 2nd jab in states as the Doctor yesterday told me i would when i AOS. Does that mean when my 2 year probation of green card is up ? bit confused now and would appreciate your advice. thanks in advance.

Then you have a waiver because you have to be done by interview and they won't hold up your immigration when supply is unavailable. I was just using your visit as an example to K1s who might be in the same position. They can get a visa with no shots but need to know the advantage of being complete before they leave the medical.

Quick one here.. has anyone heard about a new policy in place at Knightsbridge now where you cannot make an appointment until London physically have your case? One of the other May filers (Nurseling) was saying in the May Filers thread that she attempted to make her medical appointment as soon as she got her LND number, and was told she couldn't do it until London had pretty much sent her Packet 3. Doesn't seem to make sense, I wouldn't have thought that the embassy would share case details with Knightsbridge.

oh wow - that stinks. I haven't heard that yet but I wouldn't doubt they want to slow the process down. As more and more people find sites like this with how to go about things, I would think there are more and more people going around the process and they may be rebelling against that..that would stink though. so maybe they are asking now to enforce the standard process. It's interesting because when my fiance booked his appt, they never asked if he got Packet 3, they just asked for his #....

Was the information that P3 hadn't been despatched first volunteered ? I can see why they might say no as the procedure is to get your P3 letter and then book an appointment. When I booked I just said I wanted to book K1 medical and she asked me my case number and that was it. I didn't volunteer any other information. This was mid July.

I'll check with her (or you guys can in the K1 Progress forum under the May Filers topic).

I booked my medical the day I got my case number (by ringing the DoS) - that was about a week + before i received my packet 3 letter. They only asked for my case number ad gave me a date, no questions at all about whether I had received my packet 3. (case number recieved late night UK time August 14th, medical date made first thing August 15th, medical September 3rd. K3 letter recieved August 24th!)

Good luck!

Good luck! My turn on Tuesday, here's hoping we get an interview date before the end of October!!

Thanks both!

Well I've got to be honest, that was absolutely not worth worrying about for a second, a pleasant experience! In and out in exactly an hour! I'll explain my process from today:

Arrived at Euston from Birmingham 40 mins before my medical. The sun was out it felt great out, so decided to walk from Euston to the Bentick Knightsbridge doctors. A nice 25 minute walk and I was 15 mins early for the appointment and greeted at reception by a polite cockney lass!

She had my vaccination records, police certificate, passport photo and passport from me and I filled a US medical form out in the waiting room. After less than 5 minutes a middle aged very friendly nurse called me into a small office style medical room, stated that I was all upto date with my vaccinations, except for my TDAP, which I had done there just so it was out of the way so I'm all set for AOS. After a little ####### and compliments on my tattoos I was back in the waitin room, again for literally a couple of minutes and off to the main doctor I went.

I can't recall the ladies name, mid 40's, much more stern and straight, I didn't try small talk, it was much more by the book, and after answering a few questions and signing my passport photo in front of her, I was in my tighty whiteys before I knew it. I was measured and weighed, poked and prodded over my body, reflexes checked, small sight test, checked front and back with a stethoscope, had my little fella checked in my undies for a few seconds, and it was over in about 15 mins.

Back to the waiting room, this time for 10 mins, not bad at all. Had a quick conversation with a nice fella in there, going through the same process and stage and both going to Texas! The last call was to have my chest x-rayed, literally a few minute job by an elder gentleman who was comedic and friendly as heck! He showed me my X-ray there and then, I questioned what a small black circle was below my ribs, to his reply 'that's what we call a gas air bubble, which will likely leave your body one of two ways!'

He passed me back to the waiting room, after a couple of minutes I was called back to reception where they said everything went well, the embassy will receive the results Wednesday, and if there's any problems I'll hear within 48 hours, otherwise everything is fine. They reassured me I could call if I wanted to check anything, extremely polite and professional throughout, it was nothing at all to worry about :)

Good luck!
