Yeah, the vaccination nurse explained to me that EVERYONE gets marked 'vaccination incomplete' and not to worry about it.

And now you've explained to me why other people were sitting in the side waiting room with gowns still on whereas I didn't - I saw the Dr. first, at the same time as my kids, THEN had the chest x-ray and changed back into my clothes after because i had already seen the Dr. I guess its normally done the other way around. Fwiw i didn't have to drop my drawers for the Doctor we saw (Dr. Huang) and neither did my kids (both girls) although I had warned them they might. I thought everyone I encountered there was very professional and friendly, and they all seemed to be very knowledgeable of the US immigration processes and documents required.

Awesome, thank you . I just hope I don't get anything show up on the chest x-ray. That's one of the other things I was worried about, so fingers crossed.

Oh and I forgot to mention, because we were bored after the medical, we decided to walk down to Grosvenor Square and scope out the US Embassy. Police with machine guns and everything outside. One building for Americans and one for visa services. I thought it'd be this huge building with American stuff everywhere, but we couldn't tell it was the US one till we got right up close and saw "United States of America" on that symbol on the gate. When we walked back towards Oxford Street, we even saw the famous "Goulds Pharmacy" where we can store all our ####### when we go for the interview XD.

Yay so glad all went well Queen!! sounds like a very nice doctor too.

Just to let everyone know, I phoned Knightsbridge this afternoon. They told me my results are fine and they've sent them off to the Embassy already so I passed my medical.

Me too I emailed Queen asking more detail on what checking bits entails exactly and it sounds okay. I have had 3 smear tests and it doesnt sound anywhere near as bad as a smear!

It seems to be random as to how much "checking" of your bits you get. Mine was a lift of the top of my knickers and a nano-second glance. No touching. Maybe it's about the kind of pants you wear? Perhaps we should collate a spreadsheet (I kid, I kid).

I was thinking the other way - the skimpier, the less there is to guess about.

I was there on July 25th and had a really nice South African doctor, who didn't look at my bits at all. He says he finds it stupid because its supposed to be there to check for STD's but almost all STD's are not visible when looking at the bits, so he just doesn't do it. Very easy time there, everyone was very very professional and kind perhaps ring and ask which doctor is on which day and get a better idea of if you are in for a bits check or not? Seemed there was one,u the one doctor on when I was there, then a couple of nurses and the guy doing the X-ray good luck and don't worry!

Haha! I was honestly totally kidding. I actually wear those sort of boy-short things, so if anything, I'm making it more difficult.

I think it's just the preference of the doctor you get. The lady I had (who just did the peek) reiterated the post above - the glance was cursory, to see for STDs or "abnormalities", as she put it. And I guess she felt the same way as the poster's doctor above, as there's not a lot you're gonna find that way.

Nah apparently they have a good look for any signs of infection
