oh wow.. I just saw this thread just now, I am the beneficiary of a K1 visa, I just had my medical last week, and I am very sure that I did not receive a DS3025 copy. Is that given to all K1 visa applicants?

Yes, it is a photocopy of your immunization sheet. It is supposed to be given to everybody.

Thank you. Oh this forum really helps a lot. :) I have already called Knightsbridge and they have emailed me my copy. What they gave me at first was a copy of my medical sheet, the one sheet that we filled up when we came there. They have apologized and informed me that they had a new person on board. They have also informed me that my results have been forwarded to the US embassy. Now just waiting impatiently for my interview date letter to arrive :( . 2 weeks and still nothing :(

If your medical was last week, then you haven't waited two weeks. Your wait starts the day the results arrive at the embassy. Before that, you are not yet eligible to interview.

im not sure if this got said along time before but when trying to find knightsbridge

If you get off the tube at bond street, next to forever 21 and h&m is an alleyway that starts

Literally if you follow that the whole way down through a food court square you come out at a cross roads

and bam its the first on your right.

Im rubbish with directions in big cities! so this made it so helpful and easy for me :)

hope that can be of some use to someone coming up.

I'm jumping the gun here a bit, still waiting for my NOA-2 but am I correct in thinking that the minute I get the NOA-2 and it's received at NVC I can get the ref number and schedule the medical? Can I also submit the readiness forms as soon as I have the medical scheduled? London just won't schedule an interview until they have my medical results in hand at the embassy?

You make it sound faster than it will seem in the real world when you say "the minute I get NOA 2" like it is going to click off in hours or days. But yes to what you said.

You could call Knightsbridge right now, rattle off a fake LND number and get an appointment. They just ask it to make sure you aren't booking too early. They can't check it. But at some point, getting out of the intended sequence the embassy wants you to follow could trip you up.

So your official instructions are here http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/fiance_instructions.html

Deviate from them any way you wish because it's your case.

You need to wait two weeks and then the petitioner can start phoning the NVC to get a DOS number. That's the number you need to book your medical. Nich-Nick and Vanitas have a good guide here that takes you through step-by-step

You need your "LND" case number from the NVC. Once you have that, you can schedule a medical at Knightsbridge, though I'm not 100% sure if your case has to physically be at the London Embassy for the date of your medical. Some get their case number from the NVC and wait a few days/ a week before booking the medical.

The interview won't be scheduled until three items have been received - DS160, readiness form and medical results. Only when the last has been received will they schedule your interview. Check the "London K1. A complete Guide" for details:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/

"Application for the Visa/Getting an Interview

London needs 3 things before they will schedule your interview.

  1. Complete online form DS-160. For the photo, you can scan in your US size photo you took before and use that. Otherwise you need to find a white background and take a picture either with a digital camera or with your webcam. Once that's complete, print out the confirmation page at the end and keep it safe, along with your application ID from it.

Tips: Before you start, gather all the information this application is going to ask for—passport number, your work address, trips to US and abroad; fiancé name, address, birth date; your parents’ full names, birth dates (and death year)

FYI: You do not have a national ID number. Tick "does not apply". You do not have a state or province.

Passport city of issue? London works as an answer.

  2. Schedule and attend a medical. (Details are in previous post.) Take your police certificate, immunization records, and information from your GP if you have any current or previous medical condition. Your results will be couriered to the embassy 3-4 days after the exam, unless the doctor needs something further from you or information from your GP about a health condition. The delay is because they need to get your blood test results back from the lab.

  3. Complete the online Notification of Applicant's Readiness Form when you have in hand all documents you will be taking to the interview. That includes your fiancé’s Affidavit of Support Form I-134 with proof of income. Review thelist of documents on the embassy website.

    Tips for the form:

Planned Date of Marriage? Pick something sooner rather than later if you want a soonish interview. It may move you up in the queue over picking a date 7 months away. You don’t have to show proof.

NOTES:

The order for medical and readiness form are interchangeable. If you have all your documents, you can submit the Notification of Applicant's Readiness before you actually attend the medical. The embassy website says:

Please note that you can expect to wait 6 weeks from the date on which you email the forms before being contacted by the Immigrant Visa Unit. We will not respond to status requests during this time.

That means don’t expect to get an interview letter within days of the medical or submission of the readiness form, whichever comes last."

Again, nobody is making you wait 2 weeks to call NVC. Calling NVC isn't even part of the official plot. VJ people lately say wait 2 weeks. It's variable and changes. Mine got to NVC in 4 days. Some are taking a month. Call whenever you want to, but don't expect a positive outcome if you do it too soon.

Oh I am well aware nothing is going to be fast! I'm just saying I will be jumping on it!

I just wasn't sure if the interview was scheduled once the readiness form was sent only or the medical results received as well but of course it makes sense it's the medical, in case there's an issue with that.

thanks!

Nich-Nick, can the DS160 be submitted before the scheduled date of the medical?

.

Well the London instructions say DS-160 is Step 1 and making a medical appointment is Step 3. So what does your logic tell you?

Did you read the London website? http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/fiance_instructions.html

I just have to try to make you read stuff because I was a teacher and want you to read your instructions and don't believe every contradictory post on VJ. Not being snarky to you. I just want everybody to READ. :P
