So sorry, should've been more clear - the date changes! It still says "ready" but we saw ours change 3 different times: 1/18, 1/19, 1/20

And it might not be that they received the ds-160, but just the readiness form (I'm assuming they got the 160 though...)

Typically nobody has much luck calling the embassy. Mine didn't change when I submitted my DS-160 either.

Thanks for clearing that up! My last change was 26th Jan. I've not really been studying it closely though, everything seems to have moved at the pace I thought it would up to now.

Ha, up until we got our interview date, I was checking it daily...because apparently this whole process is turning me into a crazy person.

Understandable! The most stressful times in the process for me were waiting to get the Lockbox confirmation email and waiting for any sort of notification from the NVC or the London embassy. I actually got my embassy letter first and then a few days later we got the confirmation from the NVC, so weird! Oh, and waiting for the police certificate from Japan and almost having a heart attack when I opened it when I wasn't meant to...still don't know if that's done me any harm =S. The general theme here is when things get sent by post - I panic!

Hmmm, I've seen a few posts on here about people not receiving packet 3 (but since you've had your medical, that doesn't really matter now right?). It'll change as soon as they receive your medical results and then send your interview letter.

Yeah I just used the NVC letter at the medical for the "letter with case number on it" requirement.

Hopefully it won't matter that I don't have it at the interview!!

I think it should change tomorrow then as Knightsbridge confirmed they'd sent my results yesterday so they should have arrived today! Fingers crossed.

Hey guys! G's medical is tomorrow, and we don't have a packet 3, and the NVC letter seems to have been forgotten at home in Minnesota. Do they hold you to the letter? I have our case number memorized, and every other piece of paper printed for this stupid case.

Hey hey! I think another user (kristenxo) had her fiance go without packet 3 or the NVC letter to the medical and they just said that if the case isn't at the embassy, they can't be held responsible for what happens to the medical results if they're shipped with no case file to go in. So as long as your case has arrived at the embassy, I'm sure it'll be fine. Maybe take a screenshot of the CEAC site status that says "ready" as a backup to prove it's there? Just a thought

Hey Guys, Gary here.

Just thought I'd share my experience for the Knightsbridge medical. I was sent to the Bentnick Mansions where Flat 4 was the doctors surgery and examination practice. Strangely in the printouts they offer, there are two it could be. The actual one we needed was in the confirmation email.

The front desk take your paperwork (which for us was Police Certificate, NVC Letter from Aubrey, Passport, 4x Passport photos, and their questionnaire), and give you a form to check over, it checks if you've had depression, prior surgery and a whole host of other conditions that you may have been hospitalised for. I was fortunate enough to be able to mark 'no' on all of them so I don't know if any of them adversely affect the medical.

After checking in and sitting in the waiting room the medical itself for me was broken up into three parts, my chest X-ray which was remarkably simple - Remove shirt and breath deeply while the man photographs you with a machine. Then get sent back to the waiting room until the second doctor calls.

This to me seemed like the actual 'medical' part of the examination. I had my height and weight checked, along with an eye exam, all the while answering a few questions about my answers on the form which I think is just to confirm I hadn't lied on anything. (I was also asked if I'd ever had chickenpox, to rule out the vaccination requirement.)

After that it was a blood test (which really wasn't as bad as I thought, having never had one before), a check on my gentlemanly bits and back to the waiting room.

Last bit was just a sit down with a nurse to discuss vaccination requirements. The upshot of this came to be that being 25, Some of the shots I would need would need to be taken in 4 week increments (or at least start out that way) and so it would be worthwhile to simply schedule them when I entered America (assuming approval of the K-1) and take care of it that way. As long as these were taken care of before the AOS.

That was it, I simply then paid the extortionate sum of money required and I was free to go. Everyone was extremely friendly (including the receptionist even after my ninetieth question about what forms they needed and what I needed to fill out) and very understanding of nerves and stress. Given that Aubrey and I submitted our readiness form when the medical was scheduled, we really just have the interview to go before we really start to begin our new chapter together, so this was quite the important step.

I hope my ramblings are able to put ease to people worried or stressed about their Medical, I was in and out at roughly an hour and a half, most of this was just waiting to be called for the three steps. I'd be happy to answer any other questions people have about it if it'd help.
