Vaccinations have been complete and the medical is booked for the 28th! The email I got says I have to bring 4 passport pictures to the medical, the information thread at the top of this forum says to only bring 1. "4 X Identical Passport sized photo UK or US size (please note this has recently increased and may not be updated on the online medical packs)"

Knightsbridge recently changed the requirement to four. They attach one to each page of the results now. We can't edit the pinned posts, but you can add at the end an update telling about the new photo requirement. When somebody adds random chatter or questions to the thread, they get deleted, but a valid update of a change in procedure is welcomed. Do it.

So my fiance had his medical on Monday. He flew from Edinburgh to Stanstead. From Stanstead he took the A6 bus to Baker Street which is right down the street from George Street. From there he went through Manchester Square then to Bentinck. The building was easy to find. He got there early as he had an early flight so he left after finding the place and found a Starbucks up the road on Baker Street just up from The Royal China Club. It helped that he had studied the map before he went so he knew his way around.Showed up at 1:30 for his 2:30 appointment and they processed him right away. The receptionist took all his paperwork which was on his checklist and 4 passport sized photos as well. Then he was called in for his Xray which was 5 minutes. Told to take off his top, stand, take a deep breath, with his hands behind his back. Put top back on and Xray tech just verified it looked good then sent him back to the waiting room. About 20 minutes later the Dr called him to the back. She had him sit down and went over medical questions (chicken pox) and she went over the questionnaire he had filled out. Since she asked about the chicken pox, he did not have to see the nurse for additional vaccinations. Then she had him strip down to his boxers and she started her checking. Checked his glands, tapped his knees, checked his stomach, felt his testicles (which he wasn't expecting lol). I had told him they would only lift his boxers up but she got a handful... Then she checked his chest and his back. Then she drew blood. Finally, she checked his ears, mouth, eye sight. (Make sure you have your glasses)

Since he had the letter from his GP regarding his anxiety and depression a few years back, she told him that his letter was perfect and she was satisfied with it. After that she sent him back to the receptionist, and she handed him back all his original forms as well as the form he will need for AOS vaccinations. He then paid and that was it. Then back out to take the A6 bus at stop 15 back to Stanstead and flight back to Edinburgh. Exhausting day but it's all over with and he hasn't gotten a phone call so we assume everything was all ok since the receptionist said he would be contacted in 3 days if there was anything wrong with his xray or bloodwork. Now we wait for his interview date.

Hello,

Has anyone recently brought children to Knightsbridge for the medical?

I have just filed I-130s for my wife and our two toddlers, so we have at least a couple of months before their exams, but I am curious what the process is like for kids. I read about 50 pages back in this thread, but couldn't find anything about little ones...

Thanks,

Lindsay

Hi,

I just got my vaccination records (attached) from my doctor, but it is just printed on plain paper and stamped by the surgery at the bottom. Will this be acceptable for the medical?

....Also, am I right in thinking I'm covered for all vaccinations required?

Thanks :)

You need:

MMR (haven't had two doses)

Td (last shot was more than 10 years ago)

Influenza (it is flu season until Mar 31)

And if you had chickenpox, then you don't need varicella but you have to tell them.

So I'm a little worried that my vaccination record looks a bit...well, basic. It's just a print out of a list of what I've had done, with my name and the address of the doctors at the top. It doesn't look very official is what I suppose worries me a bit. Do Knightsbridge get fussy about vaccination records having official stamps on, or a signature of some sort?

Not really. I just took a print out the history on it. It was on plain paper and not signed or anything. Wasn't even headed.

It needs dates for the shots. Does it have that?

Yes, it has a detailed list of dates. So that's the important part, was just a little concerned they'd want it on headed paper with a stamp or something. But cheers DaveNot, that's good to know they accepted it.

As we can see, preparation paid off here. The beneficiary was ready with the right medical records to address the doctor's concerns, and as a result he passed the exam without any delays.
