Hi, My name is Tracy. I have been coming to this site for a couple of weeks and found it very helpful. I decided to join! My husband is in Syria and I think we are getting ready to file our I 212 and I 601. I am glad I found this site, I really need the support right now as does everyone else.

We currently have an attorney but I am not sure how much longer I can afford the fees. I am either going to do this on my own or I need to find a legal aid attorney that can help.

Hi, Tracy welcome to the site good luck with the I-601. If you don't mind me asking whats a I-212?

The I 212 is an Application for Permission to Reapply for Admission into the United States After Deportation or Removal. My husband registered for NSEERS late (NSEERS only applied to certain countries) and because of that he was placed into removal proceedings. He left here to go to Syria because of family illness before the case was settled and had a court date yesterday which he couldn't show up for because he is stuck in Syria. The judge signed the order of removal (don't know the official name of the order) yesterday. So, now we need the I 212 and the I 601.
