I was under the impression they weren't required. They aren't even asked for really, all they ask for is a letter from employer and bank letter (and taxes if you're self employed). Am I missing something here?....I haven't sent James my I-134 yet so I'd like to know!

I think its for peace of mind to be honest. 3 people I know personally recommend it, and I think they have been known to ask for them.

I asked just to be on the safe side. I dont have bank statements though.

I asked the embassy if the bank of America letter will suffice and they replied via email, that its adequate.

Alrighty. I'll send some paystubs if I can....I've just moved so some things are in disarray and I didn't even receive my last one in the mail even though I did a change of address, so I'm worried I wouldn't be able to find them. I have a co-sponsor anyways (full time student with two part time jobs!) so my money isn't really what matters anyways, it's my co-sponsors. We're both gonna get the bank letter though!

I am haven't been working for the past 7 months while living in the UK, but I'll be starting a new job in the US just as we begin work on packet 3 for the K3 visa. Even though I am getting a co-sponsor because I won't have enough paystubs by then, I want to prove that my income will be more than adequate to support my husband ...do you guys think that a copy of my employment letter/contract would suffice?

13 Feb. 2006 - sent I-130; 14 Feb. 2006 - I-130 received at Nebraska

28 Feb. 2006 - NOA-1

2 Mar. 2006 - RFE for payment problem; 3 Mar. - corrected & mailed; 6 Mar. - USCIS rec'd payment

12 June 2006 - APPROVED! (NOA-2)

20 June 2006 - case number assigned

3 July 2006 - DS-3032 and AOS Fee bill generated; 6 July - emailed DS-3032 Choice of Agent

13 July 2006 - Received DS-3032 (UK)

14 July 2006 - DS-3032 mailed to NVC
