I'm very sorry to read this, Chrystal. I think Rebecca said exactly what I would say. I hope you find some solace in knowing that you gave it your best shot, and in the end, it wasn't your fault that any of this happened.

Hang in there. (F)

I'm so sorry to hear this. I understand how you feel coz my husband and I went through something similar. The immigration process is really a pain. It adds stress and problems to the long distance relationship which is already hard to maintain. We were thinking to give up the process couple times but finally we've made it. (Thanks God... it only took 4 months for my K1 to approve)

Finally, I moved to US but there were more troubles and nothing was I expected. SSN, Driver's License, Marriage Ceremony, obtaining marriage certificate, compiling Adjustment of Status package, EAD, Travel Document, fingerprint, etc. Every time we worked on these, we were very upset because the US system sucks here. I can't get my state driver's license because my I-94 was going to expire and they need to have a valid EAD in order to allow me to take the driving test. The work permit still didn't approve after 120 days. I was always sitting at home by myself with no car, no friends...

I never expect coming from Canada to USA is such a pain. Don't think that every trouble will be over after you arrived US and got married. It will become more tough and stress after getting married. There will be more things going on (such as in-laws and USCIS problems). If your another half cannot stand or share the stress, the relationship will be very easy to ruin or break. Clam down and see if you two can solve problems together and walk in the same pace. There're still many many years to go after marriage.

From my experience: Let the man decide, or you will be blamed whatever happened afterwards.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Be clear on one thing - IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT. Presure or no pressure - that's who you are and he should love you for you and all your faults. Don't for one second think "Oh if I had done this differently..."

You have the right to be concerened about your future...and the right to NOT have to play the waiting game until He's ready..

I'm so sorry and I hope things work out for you

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!
