Need marriage certificate for K3 AOS?

My wife and I will be filing this week for AOS (she arrives tonight!!) and the instructions for the I-485 aren't clear for K3 holders regarding the marriage certificate. It looks to me like it's not required because per instruction 15 (evidence of eligibility), a K3 holder falls under group A (based on immigrant petition - I-130). Group B is for K1 and is the only place it says to include a marriage certificate.

The reason this might be a problem is since we were married overseas, we only have the original certificate and have no easy way to obtain a "certified" copy. I am thinking about sending a copy of it with translation just in case, but then I worry that they might send an RFE for a certified copy even though the certificate might not be required in the first place.

Any insight on this from other K3 AOS filers would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, and the instructions also only mention K1/K2 being exempt from another full medical, not K3. With all the threads about medical RFE nightmares, I'm wondering if she should just do another full medical just in case, or do you think it's okay to just submit the vaccination supplement?

Thanks very much!

K-3/4 is also exempt from full medical, the K-3 is a hybrid visa and not all instructions have been updated to include it.

I would include a photo copy of the marriage cert in the package.

USCIS no longer requires certified copies of anything, photo copies are fine.

USCIS no longer routinely requires submission of original documents or "certified copies." Instead, ordinary legible photocopies of such documents (including naturalization certificates and alien registration cards) will be acceptable for initial filing and approval of petitions and applications.
