Delayed I-485 Receipt Notice (60+ Days) After K-1 AOS

Hello everyone,
I filed my I-485 adjustment of status application based on my K-1 visa marriage. My packet was delivered to the Chicago Lockbox over 60 days ago, but I have not yet received my receipt notice (NOA1), and my check has not been cashed yet.

Has anyone else experienced similar delays recently? Could a minor error like this cause my case to be held up at the Lockbox?

What minor error?

I suspect that maybe I swapped the first name and last name in the first question of I-485. but all other questions are correct

You could get a rejection.  Nothing you can do except wait it out.  Good luck.

I  would not send another package until I found out the disposition of the 1st one.

the problem with communicating with USCIS lockbox is that it is super slow, I sent them an email after 30 days and they replied 20 days after, they confirmed receipt of the packet but did not give any other information and told me it is processing (which should not take this long, 90% of people get theirs in less than 30 days).

The problem with resubmitting another complete package is that they might accept both packages.  You would then have 2 I-485s floating in the system with no refunds.

I agree with you, I am thinking of waiting some days more, it's very mentally exhausting to just wait at this point. if nothing happens, I might just file a new package.

Did you recieve a letter with your online access code? It isn't the same format as the 129f NOA1. If so, log in and any documents will be uploaded there.
