Hello, i request through my uscis account an i 90 in September 2024, it's now april 2025. I received a 2 year green card when I should have received a 10 year green card as I only arrived after two years of marriage for my initial arrival date with a cr1 visa (issued before two years of marriage) which becomes ir1 on arrival correct as i arrived after two years of marriage and a few extra days to be safe. Why is it taking many months already? What should I do if the 10 year green card doesnt arrive before the current 2 year green card expires (june 2026)?

It's just the way it is with I-90. Some get processed super fast, others drag.

Can you make an inquiry? Are you within normal processing times?

It looks like 26 months it is currently...

There was one I personally know of that came through a month or so ago, took 16 months.

My daughter’s has been a year now, but we’re still well within average processing time (2+ years).

But as said above, you just get the I-551 ADIT stamp if needed, you don’t need an Infopass appointment any longer either, they just mail it to you. https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-related-news/temporary-status-documentation-for-lawful-permanent-residents-lpr

My GC was lost in mail. I90 applied in Jan 2024, new GC arrived in Mar 2025.

Oh that’s promising, maybe my daughter will get hers sooner than we expected.
