missing info according to message service

Hi everyone!

We sent in the I-864 about three weeks ago. For the last week the NVC message has said that there was missing info and a letter has been sent to us requesting that info.

We just called an operator to ask what info was missing (my husband is in Holland with me, so we cant check the mail right now) and the operator said no info missing and 864 processed fine.

Anyone any idea on who to believe?

Maybe its gotta do with the fact we used shortcuts?

transfered tot CSC on may 21 2007
NOA2 june 12 2007!!!!!

emailed choice of agent using james shortcuts on july 10 2007
paid AOS fee bill july 11 2007
I-864 generated july 24 2007
I-864 sent july 26 2007 (using shortcuts)
Choice of agent accepted and IV bill generated on july 25 2007
I-864 accepted on august 10 2007
IV bill payed on august 20 2007
IV bill accepted and DS230 generated on september 5 2007
DS230 sent in on september 8 2007 (using James shortcuts)
DS230 received by NVC on september 12 2007

Medical 30/10/2007
Interview november 6 2007 approved!!
Entered USA through Washington Dulles on november 28th 2007

Transferred to another USCIS office and pending there august 16th 2007 (yeah, that makes sense....)
Received RFE for missing birthcertificate on september 8th 2007, we are not gonna sent it in, since our I-130 is so far along...

Don't worry, you are fine. The "missing info" message occurs when the AOS has been accepted and the DS-230 is not yet in your case file. This has been reported here on VJ be several people. It also happened in my case, and I was told by the operator to ignore tha letter since I had sent in the DS-230 already (it just hasn't finished being processed). As soon as the DS-230 has caught up, this message will go away.

10-07-10 -- Biometrics letter rec'd (appointment for 10/19/2010)

10-15-10 -- Biometrics done (walk-in at Alexandria, VA facility)

10-23-10 -- Another Biometrics letter rec'd (1st fingerprint set unusable according to FBI; appointment for 11/19/2010)

10-25-10 -- 2nd Biometrics done (walk-in at Alexandria, VA facility)

10-26-10 -- Called FBI: Second fingerprint set okay

11-20-10 -- Yellow letter received

01-26-11 -- Interview letter received

That is correct. As soon as you receive/send them back the DS-230 packet and they review it, the message will change from "the missing" info to "your case was completed on..."

10/02/07 - POE

11/16/07 - Received green card and Welcome to America letter in the mail

07/06/09 - I-751 sent to CSC

08/14/09 - Biometrics

09/27/09 - Approved

10/01/09 - Received 10 year green card

U.S. Citizenship

03/30/11 - N-400 sent via Priority Mail w/ delivery confirmation

05/12/11 - Biometrics

07/20/11 - Interview - passed

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview
