Hello, I'm sorry if this has been asked before but we only have 2 pictures together and we were told to draft a letter explaining why. Does anyone have any examples of what this letter should look like?

TIA

Please complete your timelines. What are you filing for?

I'm not sure if I did the time line correctly but I answered everything I could for now.. We are working with an agency which has been great because I tried to do it on my own and failed miserably  (I sat with pages upon pages around me in my living room and cried) 🤦

We only submitted one image of us together. Didn't explain anything in our packet. Photos are secondary evidence, and although great to include, approval doesn't hang on them. You need to focus on hard evidence of meeting, travel and communication.

The only letter we provided was a 2 page document explaining how we met, the circumstances we first met in person and subsequent meetings, that we wanted to marry and start a life together in the US. We also included seperate letters of intent to marry, signed by us individually.

Thank you so much for responding and your advice on really appreciate it.. I did start the process myself between work and my son it just was to much for me alone to do.

I have all our chats, phone bill, monies sent to him and him to me, the promise rings I purchased I just was caught up with the pictures because I really am not a picture person plus that is the last thing on my mind because I was focused on spending quality time together.

Me and my husband aren't picture people either. It wasn't until after we filed and were gathering further evidence in advance of my interview, that we took more pictures. And even then, we only included two.

As long as you have time spent physically together within the last 2 years and there are no red flags, then you should be fine.

Good luck!

How much time have you spent together, how many visits, which Country?

Do you have documentation to show that you have been together in person at least once within the last two years (original boarding passes, passport stamps, hotel receipts, etc.)?

As others have said, photos are secondary evidence, and in our case, we submitted only a few, and took some more to the interview (not even looked at).  As @Boiler stated, amount of time spent together, and the specific country are important to gauge what might be needed.

Good Luck!

What country?

How much time togerther?

Does family approve?

Why the K1 when the cost is more than the CR1?

and the bene can not work till EAD card is in hand after marriage?

Look at crazycat's comparison of K1 and Cr1

USC should not show sending money to the bene / looks like bene is using USC (that is the way immigration looks at this)

Wow! Thank you everyone for the advice and information I really appreciate it..

We went with the k1 because that is what we thought fit us at the moment, we decided on that before we even went with an agency. The agency isn't asking for more photos I was reading and looking for info on writing a letter explaining why we have just 2 pictures together. I'm not giving praise for the agency at all in fact I'm so happy I found this amazing forum because once I speak with my fiancé I am going to talk to him about possibly releasing them and going on from here on our own. I didn't step back and actually think about it because I was overwhelmed but the hardest part is gathering the documents that are needed and WE do That 🤦

I'm in the US (Philly PA) Zan (my fiance) is from Indonesia. We were together for 6 months before he went back to Indonesia 🙁  his family doesnt know about us at all it's frowned upon in his culture and would be dangerous if he's found out.. But my family and friends all love him!

I don't know what I can possibly show that for 6 months we spent as much time together as possible besides our own words..

Again thank you so much for all the advice.
