Valid F1 visa (2024-29), New SEVIS ID and new I-20 (re-admission to same college and same program). Can I use my current visa to re-enter US?

I was in the US for my masters but took authorized early withdrawal due to a family emergency. My SEVIS was terminated and I am now outside of the US for more than 5 months. I am now re-admitted in the same school and same program under new I20 and new SEVIS ID.

Do I need to apply for a fresh visa or can I re-use my current valid visa (which has a different SEVIS number) to re-enter US? I am confused.
This is a grey area, conversations on Redditt and Quora suggest people using existing valid visa with different SEVIS ID but local embassy mentioned applying for a fresh visa again

Knowing that Pakistan is on the orange list, u should probably contact US embassy and see if they will renew the visa or advise you to petition for new one

And read the BBC article as the administration is revoking some F1 visas/ it would seem the ones cancelled are for political reasons like protesting the Isreal actions in Gaza.

but some have been for speeding tickets

since none of us know or are asking for your personal info,  you may need new visa as CPB may have cause to not allow u to enter the US

Thanks, Jeanne. I understand SEVIS termination is a hot topic. My SEVIS termination was "early authorized withdrawal" due to a family emergency. And given I am out of the US for more than 5 months, it makes the options of reinstatement not possible. I am now re-admitted in the same college and same program and I'll reach out to the Embassy for more clarity -- but looks like the responses are mostly generic.
