I'm getting ready to put my I-130 packet together and have a question on the the G-325A.

What does the "File Number" with the letter "A" mean on the first line? I dont have a file number right? Should I just put "none" here, or am I missing something?

Thanks for any clarification.

Marlita, Marlita, Marlita. Girl what are you doing up at this time of the morning. Visa paperwork seem to be giving you insomnia. I am at work. Good luck on your upcoming wedding. I am planning to get married in JA in October.:dance:

Anyway, I can't answer your question but try and go to the sample forms and see if that can clue you in.

I checked the sample form and it says to put none as you nor your hubby wouldn't have an Alien number.

Good luck girl

"None" is a better answer for both the USC and intending immigrant. An A number is definitely applicable. Nothing wrong with N/A for a USC by birth but "none" is still better because it is more clear.

Thanks all for your help. I didn't think that applied to me, but it never hurts to too sure. And Clairen, I could not find that sample form. I ran across it before but I get so turned around with where information in on VJ. This site is still overwhelming to me and I've been on for over half a year now.

But I have found it now, and its really helping me out.

Marlita,

For your G-325A, are you a US citizen by birth or a naturalized citizen? It makes a difference.

For your husband, will this be his first case with the USCIS or has he had any dealings with the USCIS (or its' predecessor INS) in the past, such as perhaps for a student visa or work visa? I makes a difference.
